Justice for Greg Halford

On 7th April 2009, I witnessed a horrendous attack on a Sheffield United player.

I've been over it time and time again and I am disgusted, nay, outraged at the lack of punishment this assault received. I was so shocked and appalled that it took me until now to even start writing about the incident.

Anderson Silva kicked Greg Halford in the face while on the floor. This seriously smudged his lip balm (because he's a modern man, dontcha know) and he was off the pitch having it touched up for many a minute.

I want to know what the FA are going to do about this despicable attack. It's something that should be banned from the modern game. I might have to go and see if my MP (who isn't a football fan and who didn't see the incident) will raise an Early Day Motion because of it.

I trust that South Yorkshire's finest will be knocking on the door of Anderson Silva when they have collected enough evidence. I reckon a kick in the face is attempted murder and I hope Simon Davey is implicated as his accomplice.

If it happened on the street... he'd be in prison by now.

Seriously though... I don't see many Dingles harping on about that little incident and Halford is lucky he wasn't hurt more.

Anyone reckon we should have it all over the OS? Pictures, testimonies from his Mum... all sorts

Hey... lip balm is a matter of severe importance to a metrosexual young gentleman!

It'll take years of therapy to get over the fact that he was being watched by 27000 without looking his best.
