How can you think he is being unfairly victimised after yesterday and Saturday? He was awful in both games. Truly truly terrible.

Yes, it was a miserable team performance as well, but that doesn't hide the fact that whenever we looked like building some kind of play, Monty would touch the ball and it would slice off him in some random direction. His performance in the last two games are amongst the worst individual performances I've ever seen! He may, occasionally, turn out a great game. But his good games aren't good enough to excuse his bad ones.

I am wary of criticising our own players because I realised it's counter productive but I honestly believe, with every bone in my body, that Montgomery should be sold or never let near the first team again. I'd even give Sharp the benefit of the doubt and ship him out on loan for a season before giving up on him completely but for me, Monty, is just not good enough (and never will be) - effort/confidence/teamwork aren't his problem, lack of quality is.
