If someone had told me last season that this time next season United would be playing some of the best football I have ever witnessed since first attending the lane in 1972, that the atmosphere every game would feel better than ever, that we would have a manager who would be knocking Dave Bassett from his god pedestal.
I probably wouldn't have believed them.
I cannot believe the turn around Chris Wilder has brought to the club in such a short space of time. OK we haven't gone up (yet) and we still may not,but I would be amazed if we blow it now.
We have suffered so much dross the last few years,it really has been hell.
Robson,Adams,Weir,Adkins etal - I just feel like it has all been a living nightmare and we can finally put it to rest.
It is so enjoyable going to The Lane again. This time last season who seriously thought we'd hear all three sides of the ground singing again ?
It is just a fantastic time to be a Blade again - What a brilliant season this has been so far !

Indeed - it's been great to hear that - particularly enjoyed the "you're fucking shit" chant from the south stand and westfield at the bolton fans after our second goal.

Bassett saved us but Warnock had to save us again.

If Wilder does save us again [looks like he will] history says the hard thing is going to be avoiding having to be saved a fourth time.

Lets hope this journey lasts like the one from 1892 to 1934.

Nobody mate if they're honest, it's been fantastic.

But while we acclaim Wilder (as we should) let's also acknowledge what Alan Knill has also contributed to the cause.

Clough wasn't the same without Taylor and I reckon Chris would be the first to admit how much we owe to Knill. I reckon we should even give him his own song. :)

He was certainly a Chuff alright... :)
In his ideal job right now.

No need to build a team that goes out to win.

Every point is cheered as a success.

Relegation will not be regarded as failure.

Given total control where he's 'the man'.

Football is very simple really and this is the Wilder logic.

If you have better players than the opposition and you work harder or as hard as them like we do, you're going to win the majority of your games.

It's absolutely brilliant to watch a team want it as much as we do.
