Turgid football, plays leagues best player out of position, JL-fuckin-T, lost 3 in a week to relegation candidates, embarrassing rants and singing pissed up, threw away autos and then threw away play off final with negative tactics

Legend for the good he’s done
Liability for his weaknesses
Fair enough to this can’t argue with a lot of it. I think it’s a touch harsh though, and the rants and getting pissed up I don’t mind. As a fan, it’s good to have a manager in where we can all absolutely tell he’s utterly desperate to succeed, even if it’s a bit rough around the edges.

The narrative atm as well is that Wilder has only been successful at the Blades. This is utter nonsense. A pig tried saying it to me other day trying to be clever. He didn’t get the United job due to his legendary playing days at Bramall Lane did he. Watford is basket case of a club and he, like many Boro managers got hampered by the club selling their best players.

I have been told by a friend of a friend of wilders that he also wasn’t a fan of the negative style of play and felt he didn’t really have the squad to be more expansive (especially in midfield).

My feelings aren’t necessarily that he even should’ve stayed on, for me I just can’t stand the feeling from some supporters that they’re buzzing he’s gone, it’s very bizarre.

Wilder taking charge of the insolvency derby first game of the season is brilliant.

When Vardy scored at the lane and booted the corner flag, i looked at wilder and could see how absolutely demoralised he was ...
I think we were heading for a point at the time ...
I think that really knocked the stuffing out of wilder and us as a whole ...
My question is this .
Would wilder be going to the foxes if Vardy was still there?
Interesting question 🤔

I wanted him to succeed, and he had a lot of positives, for all the bellendery we connected with him

My post was to address balance, as some hang on the 92 points without acknowledgment of the shitty bits

On balance I was 60/40 it was time to go, but with a big thank you for the good times

Because there are 4 clubs with the advantage of parachute payments.
We are one - they are another.
Three teams go up.
(yes I know Brum and Wrexham but the third is a turd as they say so they start miles behind.)
THEY ARE RIVALS unless we **** up completely.
They sacked Cooper (above the bottom three) because the football was BORING.
And they look at this imbecile mr chuckle brother the pepshit Cocoa the clown clone.
After the WORST faux football in my 65+ years as a Blade in the worst second division ever.
I was hoping for Sausage roll.
This will do me fine.
Sadly I don't think he will get it (as WBA etc) but never underestimate the stupidity of football.

Apparently it broke last night.
That is what happens when you cannot listen to the one football show in the area because it has turned into imbeciles producing a show with and for other imbeciles.

IMHO that really is a load of tosh. He had virtually a blank canvas last summer so if the squad wasn't capable of playing even remotely attacking football for the majority of the season then that's on him.

I'd also add that IF he felt that way after the 1st half of the season then why wasn't this addressed in January as he was certainly given enough backing to do pretty much what he wanted?

Instead he brought in BBD for a position that our best player was occupying already, a right back, an ultra defensive midfielder who ended up playing at right back and a central defender who he didn't play. That's not forgetting spending £10m on Cannon.

Agree with this completely 100%.

I think he gives you a floor of competence in the same way Rowett and the like do. He's competent at this level. But at his best he took a group of players and moulded them into a unit that was more than the sum of it's parts. That's the thing I don't think he has anymore, especially in attack.

I don't know him or do that weird thing where I act like I do because we support the same football team. But I hope that he shoves everything I just said back in my face and finds something special again because for all I may disagree with him on a fair few subjects, he's authentic, combative and a big fuck you to the formulaic way football clubs are run now. At heart I'm an anarchist and I like that he stands for things that seem to succeed in spite of accepted wisdom.

Football will be a poorer spectacle when all the individualism is hounded out of it

dont see the point of slagging off Wilder, he poured his heart and soul in it and got us to a place we barely could have dreamed of before he arrived

6 barsteward years in wednesdays favourite division,, took us up with a mottley crew of journeymen
he didnt get gifted a 10m pound striker like brum got , but on building team belief and got us to 9th in the prem which no one can recall at all now

we have sacked him now and started with faith in AI and one of a bunch of managerial hopefuls who havent been backed yet
a spanish danny rhol so to speak

I will always be behind the club which is neccesary with our lack of honours, and hope and pray we have found a Thomas Frank type of gem

I will not be slagging him off after a 0-0 draw which our Stadler and Waldorf fans love to do
