Pretty much everyone who isn't a blade says it wasn't a penalty including the var review panel who double check calls after the event....

It’s the consistency that bothers me. If they suddenly think that the Eze one was a pen but Baldock’s wasn’t explain why.
As I said before the same people saying our wasn’t a penalty are the same people trotting out the he felt a touch so has a right to go down line. I think both incidents were similar in that contact was slight. I do think there’s an unconscious bias rather than them having something against us but they are not consistent in the way they look at incidents. Usually record and fast forward past the pundits and this is why.

Which eze one? The one given or the dive given because for me both are dives.

It makes no difference it's just opinions on a football game and I find it bizarre (some) get so angry about it
 
Just caught up with last night's MOTD. Whilst I find GL a little irritating at times the person who repeatedly comes across really badly is Arteta (and Klopp). He only 'smiles when he's winning' could never be more apt for him. He was full of 'joie de vivre' last night after he'd won and was the life and soul of the post match interview. Someone should have reminded him of his demeanour last week!

I wonder if Arteta and Klopp ever look back at their interviews and think how twattish they appear?

It is opinions I agree but they’re paid huge sums of money by a publically funded body to provide “expert” analysis. They should do that in a consistent manner but don’t. If it’s some knobhead on Twatter or YouTube spouting off then fine but they’re not. I think Eze is a diver. I think George’s penalty was soft at best and he went down easily. Both were similar in my opinion (not paid for giving) but have been treated in a very different way. On another note how the hell are referees expected to win when they’re getting essentially double guessed like this but not in a consistent manner. They’ve got no chance have they?

Yes the bias is unreal. Baldock chucked himself to the ground with fuck all contact and won the penalty. Fans are always more biased than TV pundits.

We've had plenty similar decisions go against us. Of all the dubious decisions we're involved in, I reckon the lion's share goes to the opposition. Enjoy this one. It's absolutely no different to the Jebbo one in the Semi final v City. Only thing different is the narrative. Pundits all saying that was a pen but this isn't.
We deserved that win v Wolves.
Onwards and upwards Blades!

To be honest I think it's a little more than that. A disagreement on political views is fair enough. As I've bitched about plenty of times before, I'm happy for him to have his views I'm not happy that he uses his platform on football to do his virtue signalling. Again, his time in Qatar was what made me lose all respect for him as a man. He has a big enough media following, he can do all his self dick sucking on there I don't want to hear him moaning when I'm just trying to watch the football.

I'm not surprised he seemingly has an allegiance to the top sides he knows while ever in his job he'll be dealing with the top sides whereby the lower sides he won't give a shit about, at least just try to be impartial. Well, I say that, it's a different story when Reynolds owns the small club, Linekar was doing all he could do hide his hard-on when we played them in the cup and he was stood on the field talking to him. It was like seeing all those teenage lasses at a Justin Bieber concert condensed in to one spineless mouse of a man.

I think it's just how likeable he is as a person that's causing him the problem. As you say he's always been smug, virtue signalling is nothing incredibly new, it's a huge part of people lives now social media dominates our society, perhaps it just looks like your grandad trying to do the robot at a wedding.

Its about tim the referees where given credit for some of there decisions .he had a split second decision to make he cant look at the tv for hours like jug ears and find the slightest excuse why it shouldnt be a penalty .id love lineker to referee just one game and see how hard it is then we can all discuss his mistakes .i bet jug ears as got walkers crisps plain ones and a beer while he decides whether its a pen or not

and that's all anybody talks about of that match, none of the dives and play acting that went on or the other bad decisions any of which could have had an outcome on the result, as Hecky said 'bout time something went our way and I agree.

Furious didn’t even appeal, he just got on wi’it as usual. If he had dived wouldn’t he have at least looked at the ref?

Absolutely and imagine if VAR overturned the decision, not only do we lose the pen but we lose possession in a very dangerous place.
