I dont get this need to bite the hand that feeds us
yes hes took on some duff managers
but so do a lot of clubs if you take the average manager now lasts under a season at most clubs
we are still in league one down to one thing and one thing only
players not up to it
hes funded 7 play offs pushes in his time
but then its down to the players to finish the job

once that sinks in , some might leave KM alone

A tentative no, because everyone has their price, including Wilder himself.

Where is the poll?

the manager has been backed.. whatever he wants he's got and he's more than balanced the books.

If Chris Wilder wants something in January Kevin Mcabe will back him

No. But if a good offer comes in for a player and the player is desperate to leave, we'll sell him. We need 11 motivated players on the pitch to do what we do, not 10 and one with a titty lip because he wants to leave.

Of the players we've currently got, I'd say Coutts is irreplaceable at L1 level. Fleck would be extremely difficult to replace. Duffy would be doable but difficult.
The rest, whilst none of them leaving would be ideal, can probably be replaced if we got a good fee and allowed CW to spend it, although I'd be very disappointed to lose JOC or Moore.

So Wilder has to convince the three midfielders that their immediate future lies at the Lane and hope he can get them to commit to us until the end of the season, at least. And if we get promoted, for longer.

Kevin was an angry man last season. The players really let him down especially Baxter...(No defending or lieing when he got suspended, didn't even shush the drug rumours, infact he pretty much admitted) And there was no faith in Adkins. This time it's different, we don't need to change too much. Chapman replacement has to be priority, wouldn't mind someone similar coming in on loan and we need some clarity on EEL. If he stays and we get a replacement i'd be happy. Another LB or a striker in addition to that and we'll go up.

If.

1. A player is subject to a bid and.

2. Said player wants the move.

What can McCabe, you, me or Father Fucking Christmas do about it ?

Real world only answers please. None of this matrix cloud cuckoo land shyte !
UTB
Say no, you can leave in the summer.

Exactly what we should have done with Blackman.

If any offer comes in for an important player
And the player wants to move

You tell that player he is under contract and to foxtrot oscar with his demands to move

If the player then ruins his chances of future improvement by acting like a cock it's only his own career he's fucking up

Nobody is more important than the team works both ways

If a player is stupid enough to throw a strop and not perform after a move was rejected he will end up being a reserve and not get a move anywhere apart from downwards

My point above stresses why it was so stupid to let Maguire move

The excuse being that we should not hold onto a player that MIGHT become unhappy

If he'd stayed we might have gone up ourselves

If he'd stayed and left at the end of the season we'd have got compensation for him

If he'd stayed and thrown a strop nobody above us would have been interested in him

It's a total and complete myth that players become unhappy and don't perform when a move is rejected

Why would any player do that ?

Yes , he will . And the reasons he will are simple to understand .

Firstly , CW himself won't pay over the odds for anyone . McCabe knows this and he trusts him .

Secondly , CW's effectively got him by the bollox . If KM doesn't back him CW will tell everyone what the situation is and could go somewhere else . Even KM couldn't wriggle out of that one .
