I wasn't bothered about cup runs this season, and this is not really a proper cup in my view, but after 90 years of winning naff all I quite like the idea of us winning this now, maybe could be a catalyst to kick us on to better things?
What about our glorious Yorkshire & Humberside Cup victory in 1988?

I'm sure I've just read a thread where supporters of a trophy dodging club say they'd be annoyed and angry if we won a trophy.

I think this may have pushed me over the edge into the realms of no longer giving a fuck.

I dont see it as a trophey, I see it as something along the lines of a best runners up medal they might give at sports day to make the shit kids feel better

Yeah, because we're massive.

I'd rather the academy tried their best to get to their FA cup final but it's great for our reserves to get a run out in this cup.

As long as we don't play any first team players then the shit pot cup serves a purpose. However with the FA cup on Saturday i think the focus should be there.

Would I go to the shit pot cup final at Wembley if we got there? Absolutely no chance.

I would suggest we play all our 'first team players' whoever they may be !
Deride the competition all you like - it is an opportunity to get the team working on moves and tactics, trying things and in general getting the team to gel together, to think together, to anticipate runs etc in a 'match' situation !
They may look 'fantastic' in training but at present on match days it looks like the players hardly know each other and everyone is frightened of keeping hold of the ball and being creative !
If pampered 'Premier League' players play twice a week in both domestic and european competitions surely our excuses for footballers can turn out twice a week and put in a good shift, whatever the opposition, whatever the competition !!

I would love to see us win it, and see Scougall prancing about with the lid on his head, like a shit Nobby Stiles

Not Important enough, we're too big to compete in this 'shit pot' trophy etc etc etc - sounds abit like S6 soundbites !
The truth of the matter gentlemen is that we are at present not good enough to win any 'shit pot' trophy !
Face Up to it guys !

eclipsed only by our 4th Division championship in 1982 - now there's summat the pigs in S6 haven't won!
