The type of issues that Baxter had/has make you incredibly self-centred, and although there may be moments of contrition, these are far outweighed by the destructive acts that cause problems and heartache for those close at hand.

I don't wish him harm, but I'm relieved that United are removed from his behaviour with it's potential for harm.

Big long interview/article about him in The Times today.

Jose played more games for us than he has for every other club he's been at combined. We barely get a mention (except the sacking) in the entire article!

Gregor Robertson, who wrote the article even asks the question "Why, given his transgressions, does he think both clubs afforded him a second chance?" while talking about Oldham (!) and Everton. Just the two clubs that gave him a second chance then is it Gregor? Tosser.

Jose hardly seems keen to relive those days either: "Everton is an unbelievable club, I can’t speak highly enough of the people there. And I had a special bond with the fans here [at Oldham] first time around. I think I played my best football here. It just works being back here again".

TBF to Jose he does sound like he's grown up a bit, and now admits his mistakes. Still riles a little bit reading that article, it reads like we've been entirely erased from his career.

The sooner his memory is erased from my mind, the better.

I share your point. Personally I feel that the ignoring of his time with us is more through embarassment of his behaviour at the time, than any ulterior motives to disrespect us.

I wish all the best for himself and his family and hope he finds what he is looking for in his life.

Remember when my kid was little, we used to go in the inter bar, one day Baxter was brought through by Derek French to meet and sign for the fans, it was mainly kids that were in there..
