Thank God the departures this week were Slew & Boggy and not Quinn. What a star this lad is! (said it last season, but our 'style' often by-passed him or fed him hospital balls).

Apparently Keith Edwards was saying that Bury were rubbish. No doubt he'll say that when we lose, it's us that are rubbish. No black clouds today*, let's enjoy it and see if we're just too big for this division.

Anyway, my latest panorama today can be seen here.

*Until the steward told me to stop taking piccies...

Quinn or Monty going would have been really bad news for this season. Slew was a good prospect but I'm not sure exactly how much he'd have been able to contribute this season. Good business (for once) from those at the club.or once) from those at the club.

I hope he enjoys himself warming the bench if he is lucky. Ingrate. However our chances of Beattie returning looked to have disappeared as several prem sides are interested - if there ever was a chance ( blades mad talk)

You must have been sat near me :D .......and Bury were rubbish.

'Can only beat what's put in front of you...' FB. We've probably found our level at the moment (top of Div. 3.) There's no doubt that, in the Championship we'd have been caned if we played as we did v. Walsall, but today shows what a winning run and confidence can bring.

More or less same team that got relegated, but can you imagine us stroking it about - like we did today - last season? Against any team?

Not disagreeing Graf with your sentiments, just saying that Keith was right.

I reckon I saw more completed passes today than all last season, no we're not Barcelona but it's so much of an improvement on hoof that we've been subjected to, from the sound of Quinn's interview today the players didnt like hoofing but were following the managers instructions

Won't be on the bench, he isn't in the 25 man squad registered with the premier league.

Deano was sat up in the Westfield today. Can't see him in the pic though.

I bet that's not what his agent promised him.

The Slew deal is a good deal for one person, and one person only, and that is his agent Mark Rankine.

The player has made a huge mistake in signing with Rankine, made a huge mistake in leaving too early in his career, and although i don't bear any malice towards Slew, i just think he was too greedy and signed with the wrong agent, and i think he will wreck his career. It's won't be our problem any more, it is his and the problem of Blackburn Rovers

Don't disagree, but Slew's head may well have been turned in the YC Final when he got chatting to the Man. U lads. (You're on how much?)

Similarly, I think the idea of a season-long loan back here was a non-starter. I know we got KW back, but I can't think it's too good having somebody who's suddenly on 10x as much as the others around the dressing room/surrounded by tarts in Plug etc.

Make money your god and it will rule you.

There is too many players taking on big money moves before they have been ready to make the move, and Slew i think will be another classic example.

I think Kyle Walker was a bit of an exception to the rule, as i think he has thrived with his move to the extent that he is now an England International and has broken through in to the Spurs first team on a regular basis. When we sold both the Kyle's, it was Walker i was more gutted being sold, but in the half dozen games i saw him play before we went to Spurs, i'd seen enough to convince me that we had someone with the potential to be a top, top player in our ranks.

From what i've heard Kyle Walker is still a level headed player, who still attends the Lane, is still a Sheffield United supporter and refused to celebrate after scoring for Villa against us in the cup last season.

As much as I like loyalty as a personal trait, and think that Slew would have been better here because he would get more pitch time, I think that everyone should remember that professional football is a short career, and that one bad tackle could end it all, anytime. Whether Slew makes it at PL level, or ends up in Rochdale, good luck to him...

Deano and his team (dont know who...) was up in the Library behind us. They had a photo taken on the pitch. He was a nice as could be and celebrated each goal...
