Hats off to the guy, he is doing a very good job and is significantly exceeding expectations. Like most, I expected Blackburn to fall away in the second half of the season and it’s to his credit they were in third place before the 3pm KOs.
Maybe I’m getting a little irritable in my old age but I was getting a little tired of him mentioning our budget in all of the pre and post match interviews. Perhaps he has not done his homework but I don’t recall anyone connected to Blackburn complaining about budgets when they won the premier league in the 90s. If the current owners were a little more switched on and hadn’t allowed 3 or 4 of their best players to leave on free transfers their own budget may be a little more competitive.
