On this note, are there any blades living over in Canada?

Bit before my time is John Tudor but whenever I think of him I recall one video (probably the BBC Match of the Day on us) where he scored and the commentator says "John Tudor, that's John Tudor"!

Classic 60's commentary simple as it is!

Colin Franks lives near Toronto
I live in Toronto - does that count 😀.
Oh, you mean ex players..... (well I ran on the pitch at BDTBL once....)

Should try and see if there are enough Blades in the GTA to find a pub venue to watch games, set up Toronto branch supporters club there (and try and get a deal for cheap beer 🍻😀).
Respond here or PM me if interested

The young whippersnapper.
Showed his worth when he left BDTBL, two for one deal, but Blades were very needy for a goalkeeper at that time as nothing lasts for ever.
When looking back to those times think John Tudor was slightly underrated, from where I stood his commitment and product was second to none,

Scored the winner in my very first match at The Lane v Carlisle over half a century ago. Great to see him in good health.

Just before my time, I remember seeing him play at Newcastle and always being told he was better than anyone we had at the time. Always looked a very decent player and underrated even at Newcastle where MacDonald seem to get all the plaudits.

great player, glad to see him looking so well
another poor transfer deal by the Blades when we let him go to Newcastle
many happy returns
and hopefully many more
once a Blade always a Blade

He made Malcom McDonald, by winning header's and flicking them on at Newcastle, while we got a goalkeeper who became a best butter sales person.
