Disappointed on Saturday to find out when went to the bar that the caterers have ditched John Smith's and replaced it with another lager which means there is no draft bitter option, seems they are catering now for the younger supporters leaving us old bitter drinkers high and dry.

Stones, Carling, Madri, Jute and Cold river cider....which tastes a bit like piss.

Took John smith’s out and put stones on

Wanna try going on the Bramall Lane Upper where you'll have a warm bottle of Carling and you'll be grateful for it

From our extensive research archives...
In the Premier League season 2023/24, both Fulham and West Ham United served Cask Beer in the ground.

Fulham had Brakspear Brewing Co, Gravity, Session Bitter at 3.4%

West Ham United had St Austell Brewery, Proper Job at 4.5%.

As that superb self tilting stillage at the London Stadium testifies, those were both served on GRAVITY. Rather than HANDPULL. Gravity is a great way of sports grounds dispensing Cask Ale consistently and quickly. Gravity is often used for serving at County Cricket.

Wish they would Phuc off card payments, and for once offer drinks etc at reasonable prices at lane

John Smith's sales had dropped off a cliff last season hence why there won't be any draught bitter in some of the stands this season. Purely a commercial decision by the club.

I think both cash and card should be offered as options, but I'm why do you think they should scrap card payments?

Because your not in control, mate got charged twice when his statement arrived from bank and yes it was from a purchase from lane CASH IS KING

Service up theer is abysmal, lager served in a paper cup & queuing nearly half an hour in a queue no longer that 15 ft. Not surprised it hardly gets full up theer.

Use it or lose it. Everyone should be using cash when possible. Cash is the only way to preserve financial freedom and privacy which is why certain forces are so keen to do away with it.
What exactly are these unnamed sources bothered about you spending money on a pub?l or a shop or a gym or a haircut?

All Beer/Lager sold in ground is way over priced and tastes awful. I tried a bottle on Saturday still awful. Definitely won't be buying anymore this season, I can wait 45 minutes and get one after at half the price with a taste that at least resembles Beer/Lager.

Asked for a pie on Saturday and was given a pint. Usually that would be an okay outcome but not the bilge they serve at the lane.

I don't get why anyone would want to willingly drink John Smith's. Or Carling.
The world of beer now is brilliant, with so many local, regional and national beers widely available. Sheffield is a great beer city with loads of pubs and bars selling a huge range of beers, which actually taste like beer!
Be brave, try something different!!

I completely agree, but I also enjoy a pint of John Smiths.

Being based in the south and regularly paying £6 plus for a pint, last year when I was in Sheffield for work and bought 2 pints of John Smiths and a pack of nuts for £5 was something that stuck with me! I love trying new beers and its very rare I order 2 pints of the same thing.
