I think Hartson would be a bad signing. Don't need him at all if you think about our current strike force.
Hartson going nowhere - Agent Tue, Jul 10 2007 16:18
Reported Blades target John Hartson will fight for his West Brom place despite slipping down the pecking order under Tony Mowbray.
The Wales international striker has been linked with a reunion with former Baggies boss Bryan Robson, while Hull and Sheffield Wednesday have also been credited with an interest in the 32-year-old.
However, Harton's agent, Jonathan Barnett, insists there have been no talks with anyone this summer.
He told Sky Sports: "John is happy at West Brom and there have been no discussions with any other clubs regarding a transfer so far.
"It was a tough season for him last year but he is under contract at what is a great club, and is happy to stay there to fight for his place."
