Does anyone remember an incident v Swindon at home around March/April 1995. We were drawing 2-2 and chasing a winner and Beesley chased a clearance deep into our half, when a ball boy came onto the pitch and passed the ball to Beesley while it was till in play. The ref gave a drop ball while Beesley went bananas at the poor ball boy.

Dont remember that but I remember Matthew Capper (son of David, our secretary at the time) who was the ball boy(and our youth player at the time) at the Kop End in the 2-1 win against Charlton in March 1995. Near the end of the game for some reason he trapped the ball with his foot without realising that the ball was still "live". The ref had to re-start the game with a drop ball

Unless it was this incident I thinking off, however I'm sure we were chasing the win not defending a lead as we had been camped in their half throwing the ball in the box at every opportunity as Beesley had to run back to retrieve the ball from our half.
