Any chance someone with a bit of video editing nouse can put together a video of John Flecks touches, Could watch that on loop all week long. one touch and he buys himself half a pitch of space. lovely stuff. at least 3 occasions yesterday made there midfield cloggers look like Sunday league players.

I thought about this the other day. If you could go back through some of his best games on Bladesplayer and take out some of his impressive contributions you could make a very good highlights reel that very quickly shows what a complete player he is. I'd do it if I knew how.

The bloke is different gravy and he is now getting the plaudits he well and truly deserves. Top, top player!

Lafferty played the ball into him yesterday and with one touch he sent Dawson for a jog, Dawson just stood there not knowing what day it was. I think Fleck can take a lot of the credit for how Coutts has performed too. what a time to be alive eh

Get more time on the ball in the championship.
Fleck,Coutts and Duffy/carruthers.
More than capable of it.

Completely agree, quality player.. wanker should have signed for us when we first went in for him though ;-)..

One criticism I have of him though.. All left foot.. even a simple pass as a professional footballer with the wrong peg should be achievable..

One particular situation yesterday.. he'd got the ball 30 yds out.. freeman goes bombing down the flank..fleck should have played him in with a pass with his right foot.. instead he used the outside of his left foot and put far too much swaz on it.. went straight to their left back.. freeman would have been in...

I'm not sure about Duffy.
I'm a massive fan but he's very inconsistent throughout a game.
I love his attitude and his bravery to keep trying difficult things even when he's having an off day, but you can't be as wasteful in the league above.
His age and his size are against him as well.
I will go the other way though, Fleck could play in the premiership in my opinion.

This is a brilliant idea, a video showcasing how bloody good he his. Maybe it could be distributed amongst all the managers In the league above too! :)

We conceded against Scunthorpe.. kicked off and Fleck just strolled straight past their man, started off the attack which got us back in the game. This player is a class above anything else in league 1, he would stroll in to any team in the Championship.

Interestingly I saw him out in Sheffield last year with Joe Cole when they were both playing for Cov - I was on our Xmas work do, it was a Friday night and I think they had played a local side - Donny or Barnsley perhaps.. I had a very brief chat with him that brought up the fax machine and how he should have signed for the Blades. His response at the time was very much regret that the move had fallen through.

Surely he is destined for the Scotland squad?!

He will be playing Championship football next season with or without us.

In fact it wouldn't surprise me if a Championship side pushing for promotion came in for him.

Agree about Duffy, there's a reason Burton didn't sign him this season and that's because he isn't good enough at Championship level and at 31 he isn't going to improve.

I don't think Coutts would be good enough either, against better midfields I think he would be shown up.

This is something that absolutely does my head in. A professional footballer should be able to use both feet. I would be staying on after training to improve my weaker foot if i was in their envious position as a professional. Even at frigging forum football, if it's on my weaker left foot, i still shoot/pass. Steven Gerrard is the worst exponent of one-footedness (is this even a word??) I have seen at a senior level.

Glad it's not just me it annoys!!

Another one - Daniel Sturridge

Large Mendonca completely agree but the worst I can recall is Davor Šuker. Did he even have a right leg?
I remember him Balham but not the finer detail of his "one-footedness". What also gets my goat is bleedin' commentators who almost accept it....."what a shame it fell on his weaker left foot" when the chance disappears as they try to switch it to their stronger foot

Completely agree - I remember when it was uncommon for professionals to be so obviously one-footed eg the fuss about Norman Hunter's other leg only being for standing on. Nowadays a two-footed player is an increasing rarity. No idea why this should be the case given the age a lot of them start getting professional coaching.
