Our for 6 months or more. Just to rub salt in the wounds.

I wonder if Clough is going to put a striker at right back to cover Freeman going to centre back.

Leaves us a Right Back down, better sign three more just in case.

Next season we'll be playing centre backs as fullbacks. It's all the rage in Brunei.

The purchase of John Brayford was an investment in more than "just a right back".

A talisman, a future club captain and a player idolised by fans and a purchase which made a statement at the time.

There is no doubt he has not performed as well as he did first time round, and time will tell. Now he is out until Christmas?

You can afford that luxury if you are a Championship club or a PL club, but Not if you a 3rd tier club with No Centre halves and in need of players in many other postions

Thought as much when I saw him on Friday night in a bar. On crutches, knee brace and winced everytime he put any weight on his leg.

He looked absolutely gutted and wasn't really in the mood for conversation despite people going over and talking to him and he obliged all of them

Get well soon the beard!

For fuck sake, he's not even gonna be ready to play till January.

As the NC narrative for why our defence was so poor the first half of the season was due to the loss of Brayford, next season looks as though it could be a carbon copy.

I can't wait for Brighton to turn down a series of bids from us for Chris O'Grady...

The momentum ended way before we signed brayford. Would have been a good signing before the transfer window ended in August

Unfortunatley it could have been avoided if we simply had an ACTUAL center half.
Half decent CB doesnt go into daft challenge like JB did and ultimately no one is out for six months

I doubt their player would have gone into that tackle against a big centerhalf that was nicely timed season ending , taking out of Brayford .

Any official confirmation on the Beards injury and what it actually is?

Do you know what gets me? It's the people who moan constantly about the signing of Brayford are usually the ones who said he should be signed at "all costs" in June/July.

No he hasn't been as good this time around. A big reason being - He's played CB more than RB.
