pfft. POTY and top scorer. Who wants to keep shit like that eh? Let's build around Coutts and Woolford instead.
why would we rebuild around 2 transfer listed players
you talk twaddle
being top scorer last season doesnt say much

you just say are they irreplaceable
the answer is no not really

1. Nobody said anything about last season's top scorer (Sharp)
2. Nobody said they were irreplaceable but that they were our better players and have been missed and have not been adequately replaced.
3. You constantly pretend people aren't missed because they didn't get us promoted or because you can highlight one poor game from them. Fact is, both are significantly better than what we have now and would still walk comfortably into our team. If we sell Brayford, we will likely be saying the same thing for the next year or two as it's very unlikely we'll end up with a better or even nearly as good right back.

weve discussed how Adkins failed to replace anyone
hasnt happened this close season

Brayford is a prime example
looked vin ordinaire last season compared to the champagne we bought
Blackwell , is now a non scoring forward in the league
0 goals in 2016
yes he scored against us ,,,,with yet another penalty

all players are replaceable, otherwise no team would ever improve

1. POTY= Murphy before he was sold. Top scorer = Blackman before he was sold. Those were the two I was talking about. You brought Sharp into it.

2. "hasn't happened this close season"- we'll see but I still think our wingers will be a million miles off the quality we had in Blackman and Murphy. Similarly, we still don't have a CB who is a patch on Maguire or a CM who is a patch on McDonald or Coady.

3. Nonsense. Most teams improve by shedding their weaker ones and replacing them with better ones. Not by shedding their better ones and replacing them with weaker ones. That's why we don't improve. As point 2 shows, it's very difficult to replace good players at our level as most players of the standard required don't want to come.

where do I mention sharp

results improved after maguire left
again you make out like we are the only club that sells its better players
which is pure fantasy

wigan sold a bundle of decent championship players on relegation , replaced them
all teams have weaker players
thats why they are in league one
our best 11 is weaker than a championships clubs 11
so has more weaker players

results showed we coped,
when was Maguire dominant in every game
I must have fell asleep
We've sold our better players, and we are shit. They are the inescapable facts.

Putting your fingers in your ears and humming loudly didn't alter that.

Of course, mNt club scope with selling their better players. It's a harsh reality. Purchasing shot players continually for a decade remains the elephant in the room.

What kind of Fucking loser pretends to be someone else on twitter!?
I understand trolls get a kick out of winding people up, but fake footballer and celebrity accounts- what a world full of tossers we live in.
And you're really called, "From The Pig End" ;)

Moron. 20+ goals in a team devoid of ideas last season is no mean feat. He gives 110% every week, he is the captain, he 'gets it'.

Too right I'd be devastated. He's our key to finally getting out of this turgid league.

Well, he's not the brightest, but "moron" is a little bit strong.

He's a good League One striker as well, but "devastated"??

facts are facts the season we sold maguire we finished higher
so it wasnt that detremental

So selling your better players improves you. Right......

We went out of the playoffs because we didn't play a recognised CB against Swindon in the 2nd leg and your arguing against a season that started with weir in charge. Think before you post

some might say it was because brayford got crocked when winning 1-0
or that murphy disappeared for both legs , you know the forward superstar we lost
but its about opinions
we got to the play offs , without maguire , this is undeniable
after finishing 7th with him

think what is the object of league placing before you post
would we prefer 7th or 5th this season

dont rush

'Coped' - so you mean we tried to deal with the fact that we sold yet another player that we were incapable of replacing.
Which incidentally would be the same with Brayford. Without question we need him to stay, the squad has been sieved of quality year after year as we allow the better members to leave (not getting into argument about 'always selling best players') but we don't ever come up with even adequate replacements, it's usually a loan which has generally worked terribly.

be a good argument had we not finished in the play offs without maguire after missing out with him
league position indicates we coped
how did we nearly get to a league cup final with a totally inadequate defence

Fair point - kind of, although there are lots of reasons for why we didn't make the play-offs in Maguire's last season.
Two questions then.

1. Do you think the team has benefited from the sale of Maguire (which seems to be your suggestion)?
2. Do you think we would adequately replace Brayford if he is sold?

You always seem to slag off people who have left the club for whatever reason, but if they are still with us you defend them with all you can. i don't mind it if your argument makes any sense. It doesn't

The season we finished 7th involved an absolute novice manager. Dare I use the sale of another key player in McDonald as another reason? Or are player sales just something we can 'cope' with. Just a reminder we finished in the grand position of 11th in League One last year.

slag off , no but do not elevate them to being better than they were
I remember Maguire getting slaughtered on here, on a regular basis
and Murphy in his first season was as popular as Hammond
and I defended them then

just saying people say losing maguire was catastrophic , but league position wise
its not backed up

how is that slagging him off
just pointing out we coped without him

We have coped? But do you think we would an coped better with him?
