Billy Sharp scored a record 1 billion goals in that league - a lot of people saying he's not good enough at this level.

Mind you, it'd piss the dirties off. Buy him Blackie!! :D

Yes but Beckford is alot better than Sharp IMO, he is fast, something that Sharp isn't, he's good in the air, again something which Sharp isn't good at and he will score goals at this level because he is better suited to the CCC than Billy Sharp
 
Well, i don't :p But im sure he would score more than Sharp because Beckford is an all round player and will make chances himself, were as Sharp is a striker that needs chances to score, if you get me...

Aye, fair enough. :) I still think Sharp has become more of an "all-round forward" than the "out-and-out striker" we all thought we'd signed. He chases everything down, puts 'keepers and defenders under pressure and keeps the ball well. But then again, so did Danny Cadamarteri! ;)

If sharp wasnt a blade im sure he would have been no where near the squad
 
As much as i like Sharp he just cant score at this level. We need someone to take the heat off Beattie for scoring goals.
 
Yeah a left sided player is pretty essential, someone to challenge squinny and keep him on his toes a bit. Sharp is just a worse version of beattie really, they are very similar types of players in the fact that they both need chances to score and sharp does not seem to be quite good enough, it looks like warnock was right on that one! Beckford could be worth a punt, but im personally still questioning why stead was let go. I think we a good run he could have scored a lot of goals in this league for us. On 606 people are suggesting we make a move for bristol city right back bradley orr, what do people think of that? I watched a lot of city when i lived in bristol and he is a good player, who has had a extremly troubled past but i just dont think we need another rb. I would like us to try and sign marvin elliott though!
 
think we will be out of this race if the prem guys get a sniff, hull are reported to be interested to offer £4million.
 
Beckford in a swap for Sharp is what I've heard.
 

If we sign him, I'll be so underwhelmed.

He'd be worth a free transfer, but not for the money that's being talked about.
 
A few of my mates who are Leeds fans don't rate him too highly. Said we'd be better signing Snodgrass if anyone.

I am sure that the story is bull, but if not lets just get on with it! C'mon its taking forever just to sign Reid and he's a free agent. The players that we are after will get snapped up by premier league clubs if we don't act quick enough.
