I liked King when he came to the lane, but, I remember him for his 20 yard rush that flattened Sabella at the rust bucket in 1979. Git :rolleyes:
 
Remember that, midweek wasn't it and the goal was very late on, equaliser and a crucial point at the time if memory serves. As you say as soon as the cross went over you knew what was going to happen.

Indeed, never a doubt it was going in from the moment it left Kings foot and Edwards was in a yard of space. Was stood right behind the goal and was in just about the same spot some years later when Deano scored an identikit goal but this time for a 2-1 win.

Back to the op, I remember him having a belter at the Crewe game around the same time, might even have scored that day.
