They say he's Leeds top target then say Leicester, Brighton, Ipswich and Everton are all invested as are Juve, Dortmund and Valencia.
If all thst is true fitstly Leeds have no chance and secondly the world's gone bonkers. 9 goals for Burton in Div one and some of the best teams in Europe are interested

Well run clubs look at potential and upside, and what a player could be going forward, rather than being concerned about what someone has done in the past. For the sums that would be involved if Jebbison doesn't sign, it's an incredibly easy signing to make for a large club who are not concerned with the sorts of bollocks that the average Blades fan is concerned about - if we receive £2m compensation and he becomes a £50m striker only 5% of the time, that's a profitable buy. And given recent transfers, it does not take a lot to become a striker worth that much.

Until we know we have some stellar replacement coming in, then why the rush to move him on? So we can depend on Brewster or Traore perhaps?

I’d rather keep him. Can still only see his value going one way at the moment.

We’ve lost plenty of players. We are not going to build a new squad from nothing.

At the moment, those who’ve played some significant games, we have Brewster (always injured), Traore (probably happy to offload), Osula (understandably fallen short at the level above).

Not as if we’re spoiled for choice. Even if we keep McBurnie and Jebbo, we’ll probably offload Traore and still need strikers.

I don’t see the value in lobbing another one overboard for an insignificant fee that will just get swallowed up.

What I'm bothered about is the wage his agent will be demanding. He's gonna be wanting 30k per week minimum and probably a load more. Not a lot for an established PL team to take a gamble on as he will cost vittually nothing in compo. However for us it's a totally different matter. Would you be happy if we agreed to the type of contract he will be demanding and for a period of 3-4 years?

I would hazard a guess that the reluctance to sign a contract is less about wages and more about greater assurances regarding his usage. I don't think us paying him market value would be a problem. Us having Wilder get to a week before the season starts and saying "but Kieffer Moore is available, buy him!" and a fuckwit in charge thinking it's a good idea to do so would be.

Usage can't be an issue as how much do you think he'd get 'used' at Brighton, Everton, Dortmund etc? Money will be everything and given his 'availability record' the last 2 years I'm guessing we are balking at committing that much money.
Ps if I were him I'd be playing hard ball too, we said the same about Jordan Slew but that one Blackburn contract set him up for life ( assuming he saved it wisely)

I am talking more in terms of having a coherent plan as to what his development will be. I'm not saying he's going to suddenly start over Fullkrug

Dortmund indeed, they clearly don't have an eye for a player, what on earth happened to that lad from Birmingham anyway?
To be fair I don't dislike Jebbison, I just don't care if he stays or goes. Alot hype around him for the last 3 seasons and I've not seen much myself.

Bellingham played 40+ games in 1 season for Birmingham.
Jebbison has played 50+ games in 3 seasons.

His injuries are a worry and I don't mean just because of this season.

I’m not saying Jebbison is any good but comparing him with Bellingham is ridiculous

I was just comparing the two's stats from JTs comment about Dortmund signing JB. Fair play if he gets a big move but I can't see it.

Sign a deal here, knuckle down and get in the team is a good move for all IMO.

I want to keep him. He still has a lot of potential. I don’t want to be relying on him as our main goalscorer next season but he’s shown enough to wager on him being a really good player in the future.

Not many eighteen year old boys go to League One and score goals like he did. If we’d left him at Burton and he’d got 15 for the season he’d have been a 10 million player. Instead we brought him back—and I understand why we did it—and his progression has totally stagnated.

That’s the concern. He’s lost two years of development. Can he make it up? I do think we should be the ones to find out.

Àpart from this season what injuries has he had?
Played plenty of games as a youth player when he had a very thin frame due to his growth patterns . He has been unlucky! Scored against Everton went on loan to Burton and played a number of games before being called back by Hecki I think as cover due to injuries at 1st team level.
Benched for a lot of games when he needed to play and got sent off at Wrexham when he had his chance, came back and showed some real progress against Preson the final home game.
That's it! where's the injuries he got Along the way odd niggle which is par for a player until this last horrendous year for him.

Maybe he's the next DCL maybe he's the next Slew.

If we had a strong squad nobody would be really paying much attention to him.
We signed him as a 16 year old beampole with a knack for scoring goals.Whats followed is checkered but he showed real signs of becoming a player towards the end of the promotion season
Scouts are everywhere these days as Des Taylor said in the video I've seen on utube so clubs fancying him for next to nothing are queuing up,hope he stays !
really .

England had the choice of numerous forwards in his age group yet chose to select him. Rest assured he has the potential to be a v good player and I hope that we manage to retain him. Not only for his playing ability but also as an assett who will appreciate in value to be sold at a larger profit later.

In fairness to Jebbo he's been out ill all season as a result of the club's blood testing but I dont know if anything was amiss with the testing or not but Bettis confirmed that previously. So if it is the club's fault then that won't have enamoured Jebbo to the club.

I've gone past caring, let's face it he's out of his depth in the top 2 divisions, get rid🙏

Agreed….his hype and no doubt is Agent are making everyone including the lad himself….think he is a lot better than he currently is! He needs to knuckle down for a season a justify this hype with 40 games & 15 goals minimum somewhere.

The only moves he'll likely get are to clubs where he'll have the same role as he has here - development striker to back up the main 1 or 2 CFs. That's not what he needs now. He needs to start every game possible. But would he accept a move to someone like Plymouth? Would he fk. So he might get a decent contract somewhere but that means he'll probably waste yet another 2 seasons

Is it possible to get a sell on agreement as part of a compensation deal?

If he rates himself and gets a dream move his attitude may change and he may end up being a great player. However if he reluctantly signs a new contract with us he may have an ambivalent attitude and end up being shit. Maybe a change will be good for the lad, who knows.

By nobody I mean us fans.

As for other clubs fancying him...maybe they do...maybe it's agent talk!

I'd like him to stay as I'm personally invested in our players. I understand he's a cheap option for bigger clubs to loan out and develop. So it's a tricky one. He might get offered more to play u23 football than here being our 2nd/3rd choice striker.

Logically we're a good platform for him to progress. But he might feel as confident progressing by signing at e.g. Brighton and getting loaned to e.g. Belgium.
