This may not be anything but I saw JCR in Nottingham yesterday just around the corner from the station in his full United tracksuit. Just wondering whether he may have been for a medical/ talks at County seen has links with them in the past? He may live their I'm not sure but just a thought...

Full United tracksuit?
...probably just out for a jog

I would keep JCR definitely, along with
Sharp
Done
Coutts
Basham
Brayford
Adams
Possibly Baxter and Edgar
Open to offers for any of the other 34 :)

He still lives in Nottingham area

Our best player with the ball at his feet, would be very sorry to see him go. Would've have brought him on before Adams and Baxter against Peterborough. UTB

He's the third player i want to go.

My brother saw Baxter & J Wallace in Costco together in blades tracksuits last week. Expect to see them stocking shelves in the coming weeks.

....actually that's not so far fetched for the latter. Providing he doesn't strain a muscle pushing a trolley.

Agree with that ,however Hammond instead of Baxter for me.

Hammond, for me, should only stay if he's willing to accept a League One salary. Paying over the hill players over the odds is what's kept us at this level for too long (Simonsen, Collins, Doyle, Kitson, Davies, Robson (shudder), McMahon...the list goes on).

JCR is virtually the only player we have who can run at defences with the ball at his feet , heading towards goal or towards the byline , which causes panic in the opposition. I accept he can't cross consistently well , but at least he creates "situations" in which the opposition can make mistakes.
Most or our build-up without him is too slow to worry defences.
For me , he is a good option at 70 minutes if we need to score.

Just seen this thread - JCR and Freeman both live in my apartment block in Notts centre & car share to training with K. Wallace. So no medical I wouldn't have thought.

JCR has been involved in 16 games this season, league and cup games, we have only lost in 3 of them, all 3 of them being at home. Now whilst he hasn't scored or assisted any goals this season I find those stats pretty interesting when you take into consideration we have lost into double figures in league and cup games this season. These stats could also lead us to think that JCR is a better prospect away from home which I have always thought anyway personally, depending on opposition of course. He's no where near Giggs or Kanchelskis but we are in League One and he is still a good option to have.

JCR should not be sold unless we bring another winger in. And ideally he shouldn't be sold until Adkins actually tries him out as an impact sub - a role in which he could so obviously be useful. Yet we're still waiting to see him try it.

As Keen Blade said, it's not all about assists. It's about being an outlet, getting us up the pitch, creating situations and forcing the opposition to use two men on him. I have no idea why he's not been used recently. Without him or a player like him we have to work much harder to create chances most of the time.

Is Freeman injured? He hasnt been in the 1st team squad for about a month

Exactly my point ,20 minutes to go 1-0 down ,you need a goal ,do you look to JCR no assists or JMac 3 ?
Neither. I reckon up there with scoring a goal, and stopping a goal, one critically important job for any player (and especially a right winger) is to pass the ball to the bloke who does score a goal.

So in answer to the original question, i would bring on a goal scorer, or someone who is likely to produce good play to supply said goal scorer :)

Completely agree with this mate. Unless we have a better player in his position lined up we should keep him for the time being. There should be several in front of him at the queue for the exit door if you ask me.

I honestly can't believe what I read on here sometimes, I can't claim to have been to every game this season, work prevents me from doing so unfortunately. But i have seen JCR in maybe 10 of his 30-odd appearances. I was fortuante enough to see him down at Loftus Road in the cup last year, without the 2 goals he was ridiculously below average (a case of right place right time and a very poor QPR), and that was probably one of his top few performances. How can a one-trick-pony player who's trick really isnt that great & doesn't know how to kick a football in the air be rated so highly? Unless I have missed something this season and suddenly his plethora of flaws have disappeared...

he should be first out the door and he's the first name I look for on the team sheet, or don't look for.

Only just seen this thread and I'll tell you why he was there.
He was in training and running down the wing with the ball. He got to Nottingham before he decided to put a cross in so he might have been on his way back :D

I heard he overtook a parked car on his way out of Nottingham and as he was just about to get to Sheffield suddenly decided to turn around and go and seek that car out so he could overtake it again for absolutely no discernible purpose. His passengers were meanwhile tearing their hair out, asking why he hadn't just dropped them off before he turned around.
