Crazy as it may seem Hanson probably should have played today if for no other reason than he defends set pieces well. Much as I love the guy Billy was dreadful today. If Clayton couldn’t manage a full game then accepting that and playing Hanson and trying to be more of a match physically might have made sense.

That unfortunately is not how it works, certainly not with us. The current squad will be nucleus of the team that plays the pigs. They need to get their act back together for that one.

Definitely need a CB. O'Connell has been of shadow of his former self that he was last year and CCV is just not ready to play at this level yet. Madine made them look like right cunts. Fucking Madine of all people ffs. We need to remind that no player is safe from the drop, more competition should give them a kick up the backside. Baffles me how Wright doesn't get a start. He's always the first to get dropped even when he's been one of the best defenders this season, the tackles he puts in are superb.

The thing that winds me up is no matter what he does he's replaced. Stearman comes back from injury, unproven and only just recovered but Wright instantly gets dropped. Someone finally returns and he still gets dropped. It happens all the fucking time. The games he has are always spot on. He gets treated like pure shit.
