As there's no game tonight we are hosting a Blades Debate show live on YouTube

This will be interactive and will be looking at the season so far, likely in's & out's plus contract renewals, United World and much more.

Join in live from 7:30pm

I admit to being dim. But it's not because I can't work out whether or not this chairman (or whatever title he has) doesn't care about Sheffield Utd or the city. I'm pretty certain he absolutely couldn't care less about us. The club may as well be called ABC Utd from ABC city as far as he is concerned. He just wants as much bang for his buck as he can get. Other than that, a reasonable discussion albeit seen through very rosey "all is right now we've got Heckingbottom in charge" glasses.

If our owner would have been in it purely for the money he would not have sanctioned the purchases that we made on the way to the premiership and then when we got there.
unfortunately he put his trust in a guy who ran out of ideas and commitment to the cause. But it is ok like him let’s just keep asking for more money as opposed to getting better value from that which was provided

I can still remember when we would all have been over the moon just to get out of Div 3.
and that was under a Sheffield born chairman......

Dunno that he ran out of ideas and committment to the cause more became very stubborn and stopped learning. Relaying on unproven Chumpionship players to improve the squad was err risky. He could not address the goal scoring issue and relying just on defence as in the previous year without JOC was err the wrong option.

To be honest, I genuinely felt he was trolling the fans at the end!
"Complaining about a player not performing? OK, here you go, I'm going to pick him every week!"

Nobody is without a price

If we can get money in to freshen up the squad. I'm sure Hecky and McCann have enough nous to sell on to fund what they deem as neccesary changes
No one is indespensable
There are several we could off load for free to free the wages for loans or players without a club

I think it would be wise to bring Coulibaly over and loan him to an English club, to help him adapt to our game??

Also looks like Sydie Peck is another bright young star that needs to be helped along abit, maybe a loan out to a lower league club in Jan.

Kacper Lopata told us he was the next big thing so yes I'd 100% agree with that. He could do with a loan and then maybe next season....who knows?

Just listened this morning. I must admit to shouting abuse at you and Nick about the Guedioura situation. He's a 36 year old crock who's played very little football for us and seems to be enjoying working as a Bein pundit while we pay him to recover. He wants binning at the first available opportunity.

Bash, Billy and Didzy are still 3 of our best players so need keeping. The rest I'm very "meh" about.

I don't think I really gave my opinion on Guedioura as I agree, I think I mentioned Regan Slater should have been given a chance. I'd never have signed Guedioura in the first place, weirdly his brother follows me on social media and has messaged me to say Adlene has watched Sheff United Way and likes it! Awkward.

I swore at you because you kept a straight face when you said " during his time on the pitch" ;)

Ohhhhh Kacper Lopatas magic? Almost works, just get the lad bombing down the wing.

I also should add that Nick redeemed himself when he said that MGW wouldn't be going back to Wolves in January. I'll try and convince myself of the same.

Arthur gets a bright idea for a nice little earner up North, scene opens in The Winchester Club, camera pans right

‘Whoa, leave it owt Arfur, I dont even know this Heckingbottom geezer, why does it come down to me to sort out the transfers’

‘Because Terence, Mr McBurnie would appreciate your unique negotiating techniques far better than my subtle nuances’

‘Gor blimey, write the theme tune, sing the theme tune, sort out the fucking transfers’

‘Vodka and Tonic please Dave’ 😉

football is a simple game

we have traded since 1889 and only spent over 10 m in a season twice
in 115 of those seasons we havent spent 1 million
in 80 plus we havent spent 50 k

so we should know how to trade a bit by now

No reason to get rid of Billy or Didzy. Only add a year at a time with them though for now they are both contributing towards the top of the team's performers. Bash obviously.

Unless he was desperate to go back to Forest then I don't have an issue with Osborn being retained.

Mousset is a tricky one. He is potentially our best striker and it would be a crying shame to see him leave for nothing. Ideal scenario is some desperate Turkish club comes in for him in Jan and offers us 6m. We take the money. He goes where there's kebabs.

I don't see how you make Freeman a positive. You would extend to sell him. He isn't going to be prominent here unless we have injuries and MGW goes back. He's been unlucky to be injured when we've needed him. When Fleck was injured post lockdown that was his chance but he was also injured. You look back and just think circumstances conspired against it being a success.

The rest haven't done enough to stay.

Loved watching Minder with my Dad. So we'll cast and the chemistry between the two leads was superb. Wasn't the same when Dennis Waterman stepped out of the show.

Nice little Britain ref too.

I think half the audience on here might be too young to appreciate though!
