So it's better not to sign anyone at right back and wait for Seriki to get more injured leaving us with no cover? Despite both of our criticisms of the injury issues that have plagued our football club since the days of Hecky, all I can say is thank fuck you are not in charge of player welfare and fitness.

Also, Seriki is worth fuck all to anyone injured.

He's decent at this level, I wanted him to sign when we eventually ended up with Gilchrist.

But I don't want us to bring in players that block the pathway of our academy products.. and I think he'll do that.

Maybe but that doesn't mean it stops Seriki playing.

I don't think he makes us stronger. I genuinely think Seriki is one of the best full backs in the league.

I just don't think Wilder trusts (or maybe even likes) him.

That's ideal, and necessary

Seriki won't just be able to carry on playing every game. Not without injury or form loss

because hes not one of the best right backs defensively in the division as ive stated attacking wise hes in the top 3 no doubt about it think wilder will use the pair of em in games and probably rotate

I think hes underrated defensively, not many goals have come from down his side, hes tide up a few decent wingers & made them either change side or be subbed. Hes not actually been torn apart from my memory by anyone since hes come in either.

I would say Burrows is weaker defensively than Seriki.

I think Seriki is great defending and attacking.
I really do think we have a £10m+ right back on our hands (possibly more?!).

The only question mark hanging over him is his ability to be available.

He has everything a PL club should be looking for in a young right back.

I don't usually think right backs convert well into wingers, but Seriki plays so high up the pitch and is able to beat a man with his dribbling. No guarantees, but I think he has the tools.

It's his positioning that he struggles with sometimes but that is the one thing that can/should be easily coached into him.

He bails us out most weeks with his recovery pace when other teams break on us.

We have been very lucky that he has managed to get through the last 2 months without getting injured. Hoever is a fantastic signing to rotate with him...much like Burrows and McCallum have been doing at left back.

Seriki is markedly improved this year. His tenacity is an underrated quality, there's more fight in him than gets recognised.
