Just been reading CW's plans about January transfer window and he reckons a few in for a few out. Who do we reckon might be going? And permanently or loans?

Hanson
Lavery
Thomas

Hanson on a permanent deal, Lavery and Thomas on loan. maybe young Henneghan as well to get some game time although that may depend on whether we keep CCV.

My opinion:
Hanson > Transfer
Lavery > Loan/Transfer
Evans > Transfer (difficulty so maybe a loan to get him game time)
Thomas > Loan
Henegan > Loan

We need for the second half of the saison players who push our starting XI ... these 5 are not good enough at the moment to bring us the best possible finish at the end of the saison.

What a terrible buy Hanson turned out to be...
First time he’s come off the pitch on the losing side for us on Tuesday, although we scored 2 to Fulham’s 1 whilst he was on.

A good buy to help us to promotion but was never going to be a starter in the Championship. He will move on but a good second half signing for the promotion campaign.

What about the lads already out on loan? Permanent transfers for Hussey or Reed?

Difficult not to let sentiment cloud the judgement these days as we’re running very low on those who appear not up to it. I’d like to see what Evans sand Lavery can offer this season when properly fit before casting them out. I think Heneghan and Thomas would probably benefit from loans to L1 or even bottom half Champ.

And big Jim Hanson. Maybe he’ll need to go to make space for a younger more mobile forward, but when he leaves he goes with the same gratitude and respect shown to Done and Scougall for their roles in 16/17. It’s always been a team effort under CW and Hanson played an important part in that title winning team.

Transfers out->
Hanson (think people being a bit harsh on him, he was a decent buy last season and did exactly what we needed him too)
Hussey
Reed
Loans

Loans
Lavery
Hennagan
Thomas
Eastwood(with a recall clause incase Moore or Blackman get injured)

Given our terrible luck with injuries this season, I'd say it's risky making any predictions about outs when the window is still 6 weeks away. At the rate we've been going, we could keep everyone in January and still not fill the fecking bench !

Hanson did a great job last year, we were having a very slight wobble in January, he came and we didn't lose again ,

as others said he did what was asked and also comes across as a very professional and likeable player who gives his all

Personally thought he did well on Tuesday when he came on also ! I agree with lavery , ched and Donaldson all around his chances will be very limited

What the odds on a 95th minute winner by Hanson on the last day of the season to take 2nd spot :0)

I think Hanson will probably be moved on & Cole brought in as a more mobile replacement.
I wouldnt get shut of Evans as he clearly hasnt been fit & needs a chance to show what he can do.
I dont see too many outs tbh, maybe Lavery & Thomas on loan somewere for game time.

Ins.
Cole & probably a couple more. We wont know who though until they sign.

No reason we couldn't have them both as Cole would in no way be a suitable replacement. For what its worth I think we need to set our sights better than Cole as I think we have 5 better strikers here already. Hanson very nearly scored the other night at 4-2 and the pigs showed at Ipswich what a big lad can do, unless we get a like for like there is no way I would be moving Hanson on.

James Wilson could be sold, with thank you for scoring the most important goal last season.

Hussey, Reed and Wilson all have season loans. Their clubs could offer full time contracts but I think the players may all prefer to be free agents at the end of the season.

Wimbledon would probably want to keep Long and he might command a fee. However, again George may prefer to be a free agent and pick his next club.

I can see Hanson moving and maybe Lavery depending on incomings. Lavery possibly a loan.

Hopefully we have no surprises in the main squad. I think we’d only consider that if it creates more funds for a quality purchase.

I don't know why anybody wants Cole here, our sights have changed on quality required, reports from an insider state he gets 1 in 3 shots on target before the goalkeeper tries to save them and since the closure of the transfer window has scored 4 in 15 games.

Hussey and Wilson sold, Thomas, Lavery, reed, long all loans think and hope we'll keep ched especially as he hasn't had a chance with injuries (can just see him scoring the winner on final day in a must win game. A kind of redemption for 5 years ago), hope we keep Hanson too. Think he can do us a job. I think we need another striker but I think some combinations of the ones we have can do something. Hanson and Donaldson up front anyone?

Hanson to Scunthorpe - 150k
Lavery to Fleetwood - Loan
Thomas to Rochdale - Loan

If they hadn't fucked the loan system up then Eastwood and Heneghan could have gone with recall options, but I don't think you can insert recall clauses anymore.

Then we'll sign at least 3.

According to this site, the only position you can recall is goalkeeper if you don’t have 2 fit keepers, so we could loan Eastwood.

We would have 3 options:
- recall Eastwood
- recall Long (unlikely)
- get an Emergency loan in

What a terrible buy Hanson turned out to be...
Crazy statement considering the end to the season we had in which Hanson played his part. He was never bought to feature regularly in the championship as he’s not quite good enough, saying that in my opinion he is still a useful option from the bench depending on the opponent. I wouldn’t be against him staying.

I wonder if the Hanson purchase was a disabler for Bradford? Ultimately it wasn't necessary but if things had gone closer to the wire, maybe?

Don’t forget we also recalled McNulty for no reason at all.

Don’t see how we can sell Hussey and Wilson? Aren’t they both on season long loans and heading into the last 6 months of their deals?
