Having just been informed I have a very important engagement on Sunday 14th, anyone know whether SYP are likely to move the Derby to the Sunday or whether sky tv may also have a say ? Was at the sty (0-2 by time got through the police cordon) for bouncing massacre and will be gutted if I have to miss the return fixture.

SYP have already moved it to lunch time. I’d expect Sky to get involved before the day though.

I might be wrong, but I thought there was a rule that said only one of the regular two league fixtures between 2 clubs could be televised? Im fairly certain they always showed one, but never both derby games “back in the day”. Maybe thats changed in the last 6 years (or never existed!).

That said, SYP will meddle anyway.

Sky don't televise duplicate matches in one season.

This last game (you know the one where we thrashed them 4-2 at their place) got a big positive reaction amongst neutrals, I suspect this will be selected for Sunday lunch time live broadcast.

well we know all know. who wins sky sports, because i remember when the fixtures were out many people media & others. it will be saturday lunchtime because clash with the 10k the day after. there is no way the police will allowed to be moved.

They do if they're deemed big enough. Both Leeds v Wednesday and both Villa v Wolves games were televised last season.

The only truly "big" Premier League fixture that weekend is Liverpool v Man City. There's Spurs v Everton too but beyond that there's not much to bump the Sheffield derby down the list.

It doesn't bother me if sky do decide to show the game. I've a feeling that they will given our current form. They know that a lot of neutrals will watch the game after what happened at the sty!!.

This senario could be fun.

Get drawn away to Pigs in FA Cup 3rd round on either the 5th/ 6th/7th Jan,we draw the game and the replay is on the 16th or 17th Jan,and in between we have the league match on either the 12th/13th/14th Jan.

No chance mate. We'd smash 'em.

ISC - Sounding more and more like NKT, since 2017.....
