Can't National League clubs still loan players? I thought it was only main leagues who couldn't do loan anymore. I seem to remember hearing a manger say earlier in the season that they could only loan to National League or below

Non-league is probably his level now I'd have thought? Less pressure on training full-time and the games are certainly less demanding. Hope he can get some games under his belt as he certainly deserves a break.

I stand corrected. Unless we've badged it as a work experience loan because those are definitely permitted

Like others have said, must be that the rules are just EFL rules which won't apply to Tranmere. What surprised me more is that the Liverpool Echo article says he's in the squad and available for selection tomorrow.

Yes, it reminds me of Wallace's quote of "I've been fit for weeks" when the local hacks in Shrewsbury asked him why he hadn't been involved in the squad last season.

My prediction is that he will be subbed after 55 mins, and then unavailable till Boxing Day.
