I know a lot on here have written off Bryan the lad we brought in from City without really giving him a chance but I thought he was a left footed central defender who can play left wing back, is he not cover for Stevens? I feel the money in this window needs spending elsewhere.

If Wilder thinks Freeman isn't up to the job then I would assume he'd be put up for sale? That's what makes me think that we're less likely to sign another rwb. Baldock did really well last season too, but I wouldn't want Freeman playing regularly if honest in the Pl, but again, why's he not been put up for sale?

However, if we're going for cheap cover for Baldock, Moses Odubajo released by Brentford could maybe do a job? Ok, you might ask why do we want a guy released by Brentford, but their fans were surprised he was released, he played 35 times last season, he's on a free and we need to spend more money in other positions (up top) and at 25 he's still young. Just a thought.

If we're going more expensive, I like the look of Darnell Fisher from Preston. He looked quality.

I think the reason everybody is writing home off is because whenever he had an opportunity to play him, Wilder chose other options - moving Steven's into LCB role, picking Johnson (now released) & even playing Dowell out of position. If Bryan was behind all these options in the Championship how is he going to become first choice in the premier league?

We don't have much cover for Fleck either, so the squad is generally weak on the left. I expect we'll sign at least 2 players covering these 3 positions this summer.

I think he was unfit /injured for a long time when he first arrived, I just think he could be given a chance, I haven't seen him so I don't have an opinion on his ability but wasn't he about to sign for Gerrard at Rangers until we moved in for him, wilder must have seen something in the lad, we'll see.

Even though we have kept on some of our players - that doesn't mean that they still can't go out somewhere.

The prime example is Baldock & Freeman. If someone turns up that will strengthen the team/squad then we may take that option.

It may follow we sign a RWB to go straight in the team - Baldock becomes 2nd in line and Freeman goes out on loan by the 8th August or even sold/let go at the last minute to then sign permanently for someone else.. It might also be that we bring in a deputy for Baldock and still Freeman goes out.

In the end it all depends if CW/AK think Freeman is up to the job. Most probably think Baldock is now no 1 of the 2, but does the club think Freeman is still up to the task of stepping up but wasn't in the category of being released just in case someone new doesn't come in.
