I agree that Collins would be very expensive, but i fell it is worth nothing that in a matter of days time, Collins wage won't be £35,000 p/w - it will be £0 per week.
I accept that his current deal is due to expire, so you're right that he may struggle to get a a better deal than his previous one.
However, It's fair to say that there will be competition, especially in the championship, he will be able to command a respectable salary. (I'm assuming upwards of £25000, not hard to believe when John Terry is getting over double that.)
