We’ve seen over the last 2 months that EEL is a significantly worse player when asked to play Wright’s sweeper role. I thought he looked improved Saturday when moved back into his preferred position before going off injured. Let the big lads go and attack everything. Let the sweeper sweep. Round pegs, round holes. Wright is the brains of our defence whereas EEL and JOC offer brawn in abundance.

MOM easily for me. Fleck was class as has been said, but Wright was just phenomenal is every respect. His reading of the game is like something I've never really seen for us. He's great in the air, with or without possession, and most importantly at organising and directing the defence. How is this the first time he has played at this level??

We went 22 unbeaten in 1899/1900. There must have been a few who played more than 18 of those games including, almost certainly, my avatar.
