Jake Wright has been immense. His support, his play and anticipation have been second to none. I wish him a formidable slice of good fortune in his next steps and send him a huge thank you. We Blades owe you a lot Jake. Thank you and will applaud til my hands bleed if you are ever back at the ‘Lane’.

A United legend. Should never struggle to have a pint bought for him if a Blade is in the same building. One of those who stuck in when he was needed to move the wreck from the bottom of the ocean when we needed it.

Absolute model pro and crucial in that early success. He was a composed leader and organised the defense. He played the League One version of the role Egan now plays.

He's also an annoyingly handsome bastard.

Good luck Jake. 🔴⚪⚔️

It was a pleasure watching Jake Wright play. He played a huge part in starting the journey we're now on and as a club we are indebted to him and others who made contributions.

I hope he got a good pay off and never pays for a pint in Sheffield ever again

If Wilder had got hold of him when he was 21 he’d have been a Premier League Player In a back three. One of the best readers of a game I’ve seen.
He had him 2006-8 at Halifax. It’s down to Wilder that he made it as a pro.

It was a sign of things to come (not obvious to me at the time) that Wilder could bring in such an unknown player who went on to hardly put a foot wrong. Things began to go right (no pun intended) with players like him. Has anybody got a bad word to say about him? A credit to his profession.

He might have to pay for his pints in S6!

Would be a good signing for any league 1 club, we wouldn't be where we are now without Jake.
Good luck lad!
Rovrum.

That explains it then, I thought it was a season long loan. Surprised to hear he's only made 12 appearances for them as I thought he could have been crucial to the centre of their defence, or don't know if he's been injured during his time there?

I hope he finds a club soon.
Was injured throughout October.

Massive good luck to him.

Can’t believe Bolton have let him go and got Bryan in?!

Pretty sure he was out injured for a bit.

Bolton sent him back for whatever reason

If Bolton had wanted to keep him, they would have done. I told my Bolton mates what a good player he was, but he didn’t really convince them. He was injured for a while and in the two games I saw him in, he got caught out a couple of times, although he was playing alongside some very young and naive defenders.

Still a legend in my eyes though.

A major part of one of if not the most enjoyable seasons in my 50 years of supporting us.

Thanks Jake.

Decent player and much like Stearman a great role model.

He was part of one of the most solid defences we have ever had. Despite certain posters calling him Shaky Jake.
