Not seen much mentioned about him after his debut last night.

I thought he did ok, he could have done better with the first goal and stayed on his line a little bit longer as he did seem to get caught a bit in no mans land, but everything else seemed fine, bar one late incident when he almost got caught well out of his area

I was very impressed with his kicking, and think that can be a real asset for us, it was especially noticeable, as the only fault I saw on Saturday with the impressive Blackman was that his kicking wasn't great

I wasn't there but having seen the highlights i'd say vert harsh to blame him for their first goal, it looks like Brayford was caught out, Wright was trying to cover x2 and decided to block try and block the crosser leaving the man in the middle with a free shot, not sure what more Eastwood could have done.

He's good, no doubt about it but I don't think he's better than Ramsdale.

He's certainly more confident than Long though :)

Saw Eastwood in the friendly at Rotherham where he was excellent there.
He didn't have a lot to do last night but put in another solid display.

He clearly has some outfield ability when he did a superb volley from his penalty box out to one of our wingers quickly turning defense into attack.

Did the little he had to do very well. Commands his area well and not afraid to come and claim crosses - big potential has that lad.

Also think the lad Bennett did ok. Looked a little nervy but he did just fine.
I thought Bennett did ok, got to bare in mind his and Thomas have never played wing back before, they're learning completely new roles. Thought they were both good.

I was impressed in the Rotherham game and last night...looks a decent prospect and not out of place at all, not sure what will happen re: game time once Moore's back mind...probably back to the U23's...

I'm going to make a very rash statement having only seen them in proper games once (each). Eastwood is better than Ramsdale.

Yeah, he conceded four but not really his fault. Overall I thought he did pretty well and deserves a bit of credit.

Mentioned to a friend earlier today that IMO Eastwood id the real deal. He is also vocal which is a plus for a 'keeper.

He is a good keeper but as the number 2 at this time he gets very little game time. A big problem for a keeper. When he drops to 3rd choice he will be a regular at under 23 and I believe that will do him good. Better than Ramsdale, if the coaches say so then i'm sure they are right. The coaches also see the attitude as well as the performances.

I agree. Hope the result doesn't shake his confidence as he looked very solid and like you said none of them were really his fault.

Personally I see him as our number 2 for next season. Wilder clearly rates him but maybe thought that it's a bit too early to put that kind of pressure on him so thought that a season loan would be a good stop gap.

Good business loaning Blackman all round in retrospect as it keeps Eastwood ticking along and developing without getting chucked in the deep end or blocking his path into the first team in the long term. Don't think anyone wants another George Long on our hands.

He did look a bit fed up when the fourth went in but I'm sure plenty of the staff will have told him he did well. Before the start of the season I would have been quite worried if we had to rely on him, even as cover, but if Blackman were to get injured before Moore is fit I think he'd be fine for a few games.
If he keeps working hard he should have a good future.

I don't remember anyone posting here on the brilliant save he made in the second half. A rocket shot that had goal written all over it was turned away by our young man. A save of the quality that many an international standard keeper would be proud of.

If more people , including myself, had seen him play more games, there would have been less clamour from the fans to bring in a loan keeper to cover for Moore's absence. I predict that he will become our No1 keeper if we don't sell him first.

Seen this kid quite a bit and really rate him.

Hope circumstance doesn't see him leave fairly cheaply like Ramsdale. It's understandable that Moore and Blackman will be above him this season, largely due to his age and experience. Hopefully he's still here after Blackman goes back.

Not from me. I rate him but I still think we needed cover for Moore. We did this with Long, he looked decent but wasn't ready for the pressure of being a number 1 and played far too many games when his confidence was fragile because our only other option was injured or out of favour.
I'm happy for him to develop at his own pace, with the guidance of our coaching staff.

He will probably go out on loan to national league where he can be brought back quickly if needed ,loan regulations in that league are more flexible

Have to say I prefer him to Blackman - Blackman is an excellent shot stopper and clearly a commanding figure but at the moment there seems to be a fractional lack of confidence and hesitation about him on occasions - and then there's his kicking..... I hope it's just a temporary part of him adjusting to a new club and the pressure that comes with it and that he will grow into the role. I'm sure that's what Chelsea want out of this loan as well.

Disagree overall but agree about your criticisms of Blackman, his kicking has got a bit better, but he does hesitate, he's been lucky not to have dropped a humongous bollock so far, so he really needs to get that confidence going.

Just feel like in a one on one there's more chance of Blackman getting in the way of it than Eastwood at the moment, that's why I'd stick with Blackman for now.

I was heartened to see him release a string of invective towards the defence after they'd let Gray amble to the edge of the box and have that shot he tipped over

With Eastwood's rate of progress he will challenge Moore for the jersey, he has improved enormously.Didn't he have a. Loan spell at Gainsborough last season ?
his progress is remarkable
