SSN reporting that Arsenal have increased their bid for Jags to £16m, do we have a sell on clause in the Everton contract?

It wouldn`t matter if we do, the Cheque would be cashed in Belgium.

20% sell on clause .............................whoopeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I thought there wasnt a sell on clause?

i cant see how we could have insisted on a sell on clause when Everton met the clause in Jags' blades contract?

As far as I recall there was a release clause in Jags' contract, which was £4m if we go went down. I can only think that that was there to safegauard a minimum transfer fee. I see no reason why a further sell-on clause wouldn't have been part of any other negotiations.

I really hope Jags goes to a Champs League club. He'd be a natural replacement for Gallas in every way apart from the Gallic grumpiness.

We won't have a sell on clause, we don't ever put things in contracts that will benefit us.

Everton friends in work dont wont to sell him, but if they did they want at least the same price they got for Lescott!!

Hope he stays at Everton.

Really good value in my Fantasy team, going to the Arse will bump his price up by a couple of mill and price him out.

His value wont go up until the season starts though so he'll still be affordable and should make you a fair bit of cash when he does go up, plus if you get him before he moves you could even start the season with 4 Ars players if your doing the same one as me.

good.. then he might get a game for england .. disgraceful how he was left out for a bunch of plodders

Cheers Ted.

It's a few days since I last signed on and the teams weren't available for selection. Just been on and selected the team (including Jags).

Is there a league set up from this place?

Oh, so off you go to Arse Jags and best of luck!!!

Id rather have jags just back from an injury rather than King whos permenantly injured and cant even train with Tottenham

Jags would get far more chance to be in the England set up if he was at the Ar*e.
Would be a good move for him with potential Champs league football to boot.
I would like to see him there as well. Far better team than the Toffees - nothing against Everton as they have been brilliant at punching way above their weight for several seasons.

Problem with those getting into the England squad now after the World Cup is that they will probably be caught up in the backlash from the utter failure of the prima donna squad. Could be the making of them - or indeed the breaking.

Jags would have had another month after the Squad was chosen and the season ended to improve his fitness, and even without this he would have been faster than Carra, Terry and Upson, a big shame :(

And to be honest he would also have done a better job than Rob Green.

Maybe Wenger wants him to keep goal, he has seen him perform :D

I'd rather have Jags in a plaster cast and on crutches than Deadly Ledley, or Shagger Terry, or Jar-Jar Ferdinand.

I first saw Jags at the Priestfield stadium playing for the England under 18 team, long before he made it into the Blades side.
I knew then that he would make it as a top class player, deserves to make the full England side.
Top class player, very sad when we gave him away to Everton.Could play at right back midfield and centre back and to add the extra bit was a pretty good keeper as well.
Well done Jags you deserve your success and a nice guy as well.

>Any other season and I would agree whole heartedly
well moyes just about came out and said the return of jags was the reason for their second half of the season form at the time
