This week, Alan Tate re-writes history.
Tate left frustrated by Blades loss
Posted on: Sun 19 Dec 2010
Alan Tate has joined his manager in explaining his frustration after losing Saturday's game at Sheffield United.
The vice-captain has pointed to the fact that 'keeper Dorus de Vries was rarely tested at a bitterly cold Bramall Lane compared to his counterpart, Steve Simonsen.
Ched Evans scored the only goal of the game as the visitors did have their chances but just couldn't convert past the former Stoke City shot stopper.
"It was a disappointing result," Tate exclusively told Swans Player.
"It wasn't really a disappointing performance, it was just the poor goal that we conceded. We were on the attack but there was a long punt forward and the lad has got in and scored.
"The frustrating thing was that Dorus had nothing to do all day, while the other lad (Simonsen) had loads of saves to make during the game.
"That's the way its gone the last two games - it's a strange game as people know."
The Swans are back on the road in a week's time when they travel to league leaders QPR and Tate is hopeful his side can pick themselves up for the task at Loftus Road.
He added: "We've just got to dust ourselves down and go again.
"It wil be a good game next week between two good teams."
