This week, Alan Tate re-writes history.

Tate left frustrated by Blades loss
Posted on: Sun 19 Dec 2010
Alan Tate has joined his manager in explaining his frustration after losing Saturday's game at Sheffield United.

The vice-captain has pointed to the fact that 'keeper Dorus de Vries was rarely tested at a bitterly cold Bramall Lane compared to his counterpart, Steve Simonsen.

Ched Evans scored the only goal of the game as the visitors did have their chances but just couldn't convert past the former Stoke City shot stopper.

"It was a disappointing result," Tate exclusively told Swans Player.

"It wasn't really a disappointing performance, it was just the poor goal that we conceded. We were on the attack but there was a long punt forward and the lad has got in and scored.

"The frustrating thing was that Dorus had nothing to do all day, while the other lad (Simonsen) had loads of saves to make during the game.

"That's the way its gone the last two games - it's a strange game as people know."

The Swans are back on the road in a week's time when they travel to league leaders QPR and Tate is hopeful his side can pick themselves up for the task at Loftus Road.

He added: "We've just got to dust ourselves down and go again.

"It wil be a good game next week between two good teams."

Talk about exaggeration

Probably a case of sour grapes there but if he wants to make things up fair enough. There were plenty of people there who saw what actually happened. Neither keeper had a save of any note to make and the only one was slotted away by Ched. United were solid and very much deserved the win. I wouldnt call the pass that split their defence in half a "long punt" - his opinion I suppose.

If Doris had nothing to do all day then perhaps he should tell her to do the washing while he's at work :D

I think you will find that it was a 'punt'.

I got a text last night from my mate who was at the game and he said Simmo didn't have a save to make

He had a few shots from Sinclair to stop, all right down his throat.

From a Swansea point of view, Ched's goal was disgraceful... Two defenders vs one Ched should not = goal.

Great pass, but truly awful defending.

Didn't get into the gap which Tate should have been defending ? If he thinks that was a long punt forward maybe he should be questioning his own level of ability ,but the real give away is that he thinks they are a good team.

Coops ,Quinns goal was definitely onside ,I sit right in line ,ironic that it was only time all afternoon that pillock of a linesman raised his flag.

How many points did Swansea get out of the game Mr Tate? We can all stand here all day and say how many chances did United create, how many chances did Swansea create, how much posession, how many corners blah blah blah?

The record books states that 3 points were delivered to S2, none to South Wales. End. Of.

That game will be remembered for being one of the coldest if not the coldest ever to watch. Warmed up by the classy;) skill of Nossy in the first half, the almost calamity he gave away in the second. Oh and a great finish by a striker scored by many. Well done Ched.
In short, not much to cheer about these days so:
Get the fuck in there 3 points.
as for the comments made by the person we're talking about in this thread:
Who r ye who r ye who r ye.
