So, let me understand what you're saying here.
Chris Wilder deliberately fucked up our chances of promotion so that Jack Robinson could trigger a contract extension?
Seriously?
Res ipsa loquitur

The facts speak for themselves.

Just my opinion , of course.

No one will ever know what went through his mind , spaffing £10 on the Cannon that won't fire when we desperately needed a replacement for Souttar which wasn't Robbo.
And then he got Holding who never played.
Makes you think , doesn't it.

Funny old game , football.

Still overpriced…

Well well well
So I wasn't wrong ...
No. You clearly were wrong, in fact twice as wrong as you were before because he got another start for Brum🙂.

As has been pointed out already, despite Robbo being apparently being ‘a red card waiting to happen’ he never got one for us, or two yellows, or he was never suspended for accumulating cards, so in terms of impact on games he actually had a perfect disciplinary record for the Blades.

I do remember Robbo being a big part of one of the early brawls we had last season leading to a yellow, and as we went on we got some fines, but to specifically point him out for that part of our season is misplaced. If the fines were to be ‘blamed’ most on any individual player it would be Peck, but I can’t work out if we are supposed to hate him this week (probably not as we got three points, but it was ‘only’ a 1-0 win so maybe that doesn’t count).

Well I'd venture he won't be getting. Another start for a while

You’re right…watched it back and he accidentally stands on Wright’s foot

Problem for Robbo here is the old saying

Don’t give the ref a decision to make

The hand on his shoulder is the issue

He knew he wouldn’t have the legs to catch him, not a red as too far out but as we know, he has a bomb scare in him

Meanwhile, and more importantly, Mee, Jaf and McG didn’t put a foot wrong🙏

how many times have we seen him. do this & be fortunate. ironically v Birmingham in league cup. it is stupid decision
Today just reminded me of Oxford away last year when him and a el looked shell shocked every time Oxford put the ball in our area

Cost us promotion and I'm still angry with wilder about playing the twat

I believe Wilder thought a Souter replacement was not a priority and wrongly felt that Robinson would be enough -

Surprised he starts for Brum. They've spent over £20m this summer and he's the best they've got at centre back?!

We spent a lot more than that and he was our captain!

I was hoping Burrows performances would improve with someone other than Robbo next to him, but maybe Robbo wasn't the main problem..

The brummies need to see the silver lining in the cloud of today’s loss, at least they don’t have JLT playing next game.

I’ll hold hands up here because I’ve always said to my old man he’s a red card or an accident waiting to happen, but didn’t realise he’d never had a red or two yellows for us!

Really surprised me that has. I’m happy to stand corrected.

That was criminally negligent of Wilder to have such a thought

Souttar was confirmed out for the season on Dec 29th, prior to that the defence was fine.
Scoring however had been a problem all season, with Moore requiring a hernia operation, esentially our main striker.

So up to to December 29th what was the biggest problem for the team?

But yes Wilder should have focussed on bolstering the defence, after all you can win games of football 0-0 in the eyes of some.

Why do some need to apportion 'blame' all the time, shit happens and in a game of football both teams wish to win.

Pre Christmas our team was severly weakened with the losses of Moore, Souttar and Arblaster - shit happened.

Still Jack Robinson can be held as scapegoat and by inference Wilder.

Exactly that was why we needed to replace him

Campbell was our main striker. If we relied heavily on Moore why did we spend £10m yes £10m on Cannon a totally different striker than Moore. A striker that was not suited to the way we play and who didnt step up
A striker we need to get rid of ASAP

You build a strong team from the back. What was wrong with signing a Soutar replacement and signing a striker.
Wilder failed on both counts he signed a CB with a PL pedigree but who was not match ready and when he was did not play him and signed a striker that contributed FA at a cost of £10m

You have to question the decisions made in the JTW
Pre Christmas our team was severly weakened with the losses of Moore, Souttar and Arblaster - shit happened.
And what did we do in the JTW not replace any of them with anybody good enough
Still Jack Robinson can be held as scapegoat and by inference Wilder.

We needed to replace Soutar he was instrumental in us having a strong defence if you dont concede goals you dont lose games of football

JLT was always a liability with a ball in the air heading over his head. It happened so often with us when he lost where he was and made an error. He was always slow to react to what was going on around and behind him. The sending off was just another example of him misjudging the flight of the ball and making a clumsy attempt to get to it first when he didn't need to.

We saw at Oxford yesterday how to defend the hoof and what was missing in the corresponding game last season. One of the 3 games that ultimately decided our fate. CB's need to be positionally aware, read the game and track runners. JLT failed on all three fronts consistently, having to make last ditch tackles to compensate for his weakness. The difference between Mee and JLT was there for all to see.
