What’s the Elche connection? Genuinely interested.
I live near there diplomat and have done for a few years. I wanted a team to support when I first came over. Because it's a city situated in the southern Costa Blanca there's a fair few supporters of different nationalities.

Nothing more interesting than that, I'm afraid.

Grbić had been in the country for all but two days, played one game against a quality Premier league team, behind our defence what a portion of fans call terrible - yet some people have already written him off, strange.

Sadly it looks like Wes could be off if we go by Nixon - shame:

I no longer live in Sheffield, but regularly visit. There are parts of the city centre which are great, so don’t be to hard on where some of you live. This is a city that is talking about reintroducing beavers !!
He says he likes green spaces, so not too far to go to find them.
The part where I work is like Threads without the nuclear bomb.

Plenty of beaver in the Bessemer though…..

No ones paying any money for Wes.

Be lucky to get 10 bob for Wes.

He's put a video on his insta story that is clearly a dig at United/Wilder.

I know it's early, I know we can't judge much from a weakened team but... there are a few things he does that give me question marks on how much of an actual upgrade he is on Wes.

I guess time will tell
He kicks more accurately and releases the ball quickly, but I need to see him a few more times to judge his catching and saving abilities.

Wes expected a big pay rise, we did not see him as a long term number one and subsequently did not offer on. Result is stale mate and he will move on.
hopefully that may persuade Amissah to sign as I think he has potential

At least The Club's making a move. I was concerned, because we'd spent money on him, the board would dig their heels in.

Also, see Oli Burke for a 'player' who's career seems to be completely at odds with his ability. There's hope yet.

Hopefully we've got a 'favour' lined up somewhere with some agency that means we can offload him. I don't know his wages but he could end up being an expensive second keeper for us.

we have to offload him and i believe the decision has already been made to do that

True, Olsen another example. Was shite for us and seems to have been everywhere he's played yet still keeps getting good moves. He had another stinker yesterday for Villa.

Even if we give him away, at least he's not on our books, leeching a wage and stinking up the place. If needs be, his Agent should be able to sort a deal with another club that means a any fee that would be paid to us would just go into his wages. £2.5M across 4 years is £13K a week.

You'd think a big club will be happy to have him on the books as a 2nd or 3rd choice keeper. "Pedigree" and a decent character (says Wilder). £2m fee and £30k a week is absolutely nothing to half the Champions League clubs.

Hopefully he'll be off sooner rather than later. Can't have a keeper the fans have zero faith in.

Although he's not the best keeper he was gifted an awful defence in an incredibly difficult league. The lads been peppered by some of the best players in the world till he got dropped so there's no surprise his confidence is at rock bottom.

Send him to a league 1 club let him get some constant game time to build up. He could be very good who knows!

He's blown his chance with us but he surely can't be as bad as we've seen, there's got to a keeper in there somewhere.

He was OK today and made a good save in the first minute. I was cheering it (not ironically) because I want to boost our players confidence.

Right.
Before I say the next bit I’m making it clear I still think he’s the worst keeper we’ve ever had.

However.
Apart from flapping at a couple, failing to talk to his defenders, and a couple of errors in first half….he did alright.

Looked better second half and actually made a save. Best thing he’s done was the second half where he actually for once came out of his area and tidied up after Trusty got done again by a ball over his head.

6/10- which for him is his best game for the blades.
Let’s hope a club somewhere saw that and liked what they saw
