no one could doubt the quality of many West Brom players and when our back three was 'reduced' to Stevens, cranie and stearman at half time I would have taken a point right there. I need to start listening to Wilder. He spends his time not biggiing up the first 11 but encouraging squad players to maintain form and play their socks off when called upon. The effort, team spirit and mental toughness was there in spades and baggie stars lost heart and played worse and worse , even Barry. John fleck took on three of them at close quarters and iron bru'd them at the end. Team spirit raises the performance of the others when we lose man mountain Egan to compensate. Very encouraging that the team ethic can carry us forward with injuries piling up. No surprise we haven't lost two in a row - Brilliant management on display and makes you so proud to be a Blade.

Great post. Can’t help thinking that the Barnet game was more important than we realised. The majority of the team were fringe players and poor. They did badly and were criticised but their reactions have been superb. Additionally we’ve called on them more than anticipated due to injuries and suspensions. Credit to them but also Wilder as he’s got the reaction he wanted.
