I'm watching the game on tv and I'm even more convinced that we can not play football the desired way that Wier,the board or the prince wants.

We have to realise we are a very poor side who can barely pass the ball sideways no wonder thinking of going forward with it.We need to get to basics and I know I got slated for wanting Pulis but who really thinks Clough,Robinson who ever you think can get this team playing the way that gets results.

I'm hoping Pulis gets the job,that he can make sure we are not adrift by January and changes this team of shrimps into a fully battled machine that will get us out of this hellish dream.Because at the moment if we keep playing the way we are even with a new manager we could be heading to League 2.

Much made of the lack of goals and general creativity in an offensive sense.

For me, as has been so clearly highlighted today, our defensive pattern is a shambles.

No shape.
No responsibility.
No fucking clue.

You advocate a more direct style. Can't generally agree with this especially when every single time the defence has tried anything more than a 15-20 yard pass has resulted in a possession turnover.

The back line needs a complete overhaul IMHO. Might just about manage to make room for Harry (on proviso he has a quick player next to him at LCB) but he has been very poor today and at fault for 1st goal.

DESPERATE for some pace at the back. Need a Killa type player and sharpish.

Biggest obs for me thus far today is that the entire squad seems to be lacking in strength, stamina and speed.

First job the new manager has got to do is get the squad fitness levels up 10% and this in itself would make a massive difference.

Marlon King is a mistake IMHO. No longer good enough.

Taylor has been a frustration BUT I believe he has it in him with the right service AND right strike partner. This need not be a target man type. When's Ched out !!

In short, with a few exceptions, Weir has generally brought in good offensive players that need more time to gel but has, in the main, ignored our defensive frailties.

The trouble with Maguire and Long is whilst they're at the club at this level, they must play. We'd be better off flogging them and getting in players who can play at this level with more consistency.

Theyve all had their mojos battered by Weir , he robbed players of their identity ,players who gelled into a team that kept 21 clean sheets out of 46 , looked , under Weirs tutorlidge like complete strangers, it took 65 minutes of todays game till they realised they were free from his yoke, his cockamamy ideas that league 1 players could become Barcelona in 3 easy steps. whats needed is a short convalesence and pictures of him leaving the building to build up confidence even more
