We stayed up because they sacked Robson. I don't see them sacking Speed and I also don't see them providing him with money for new players. At leasat half of the team seem disinterested in what is going on but we're stuck with them. There's still a lot to play for and I hope that there are three worse teams than us come the end of the season, but I'm actually starting to doubt it.

Under bassett we had 3 points at christmas and stayed up. Yes that was in the top division and maybe thats the point?

Those were the days with a real sense of cameraderie. We beat Forest on Boxing day correct? I'll never forget the look of hurt on Stewart Pierce's face when the kop chanted "Pierce lost us the world cup" (Referring of course to his penalty miss in Italia 90).
