I was under the impression that a rolling contract was under a state of permanent renewal ie; everyday your contract is renewed for another 12 months, and either party has to give a years notice. Otherwise surely there's nothing rolling about it at all, it's just a 12 month contract?

My understanding of a rolling contract is that it will automatically renew for the same term at the end date unless one party elects to terminate it. If that is right, the explanation above makes sense, i.e. WBA could not terminate it during the 12 month term (at least, could not terminate unless Di Matteo breached it), and thus have to pay Di Matteo, but they can elect not to renew.

It cetainly looks on the cards, personally I won't be excited by this appointment. However someone made a good point (torrix I think) that if he has left Barnsley due to financial constraints why would he leave and join another club that will have similar sort of constraints?

We wont have similar contraints though. Possibly in terms of transfer fees we will be about the same, but I imagine our wage bill will be higher than theirs even in the league below. SUFC is a club with far more potential and I genuinely mean no disrespect to Barnsley by saying that. Its just a fact.

I agree we are a team with more potential and have a bigger fanbase, and I agree that our wage bill may still be higher, but he obvisouly had targets in mind, I just thought he may want to set his own stall out higher in terms of money to play with in the transfer market, he does however look the more likely candidate. He can work with younger players and has done both at Barnsley and Rotherham, but football wise he's very much the type of manager that grinds results out (not totally a bad thing,) but he won't change us all too much the way we probably need to and want to.

If it isnt RDM, I'm still hoping for Hughton.

I'm still hoping for either and if I'm honest they are probably the only two I would be entirely happy with. With that in mind I expect to be a tad disappointed when the announcement is made

Both 'ergo' and 'genre' are in the English dictionary, so are acceptable for general use. The English language is full of words nicked from Latin, French, Greek, and other languages.

Certainly they are more appropriate than the dreadful text language used by some of our younger members.
