I have just got back from a great weekend away spoilt by 90 mins + in Gillingham. Spoilt by the team yes, but equally spoilt by a lot of our 1900 supporters showing off like mardy brats because they didn't get what they wanted on Xmas morning.

A long and optimistic build up to "Xmas morning" and then lots of ale in glorious sunshine. What could go wrong?Well once the wrapping was taken off it wasn't as expected was it? We didn't get the presents that everyone was promised.

Long was being cat called and slated after 15 mins; the team was booed off at half time; many round me spent the second half whinging at every single player; others glad that Baxter was spotted on crutches; many 'fans' rushed to the bottom left hand corner of the stand to slag the team and Adkins off as they trooped to the tunnel, waving two fingers and giving the right hand shuffle sign. There was also group angrily surrounding Jim Phipps after most had left the ground.

I was embarrassed yesterday, as much by the antics of those expecting us to win every game and never concede a goal as I was by the performance on the pitch. I am no happy clapper but wish those with only vitriol to offer would stay away from the games.
