I spoke to some one Ive not seen for a while last night. In the past this guy has given me quality information. Usually what he s told me has come to happen soon after.

The name he gave me has as far as im aware not been mentioned anywhere else. Saying that i ve not yet peroused every single thread on this so apologies if it his name has been mention previously.

The name he gave me did not inspire confidence at all.

Nor did the name tick any of the boxes Mccabe mentioned.

How would you feel if the name below got the job?

CRAIG SHORT

Please dont shoot me im only the messinger.

And like I said the information this guy has given me in the past has usually been spot on.

Short is about 5th favourite at the moment so some money is going on him. It's the cheap option, it's uninspiring, like you say it doesn't tick any of the criteria boxes McCabe set out.

I think the reason his name hasn't been mentioned on here is because no-one could bear the thought of such a dull uninspiring appointment that would have us all wishing Blackwell, never mind Adams was still in charge.

McCabe has got ONE last chance to inspire us all, one last chance to redeem himself for past cock-ups, one last chance to see season ticket sales increase, one last chance to possibly bring some success back to BDTBL. Screw this appointment up and it could wreck this club for many a year. An appointment like Short/Slade/Robbins and we are no better off, we start next season and lose 6 of the first 10 and we sack the manager yet again, who would take the job then???

Wouldn't surprise me at all
Heard that RDM's wage demands are well out of our range and he's out of the running unless he decides to lower them massively....

Already been mentioned, would be the cheap option and would have a good chance of coming off as he was Ferencvaros manager.

It may not be as bad as it sounds , a Short/Smith/Pemberton combination , may not imeadiately get us excited but in the long term could be good , i do think these three could be loyal and if we cannot get Houghton or Di-Mat they would be worth a shot , but no Robins please ,but the timing of Robins departure looks a bit suspect .

Short was awful at Notts County......is that really the level we have sunk to?

If we are seriously looking at Short then why the hell did we get rid of Adams?

I would be very wary of any ITK stuff that says x, y or z is going to get the job because very few people will be in on this decision. I would suspect half a dozen trusted members of staff at the most.
When Adams was appointed all we knew was the shortlist (released by the club) and that something had gone off with SoD. While the appointment process was on very little came out, even some of the posted classed at ITK on BM were flip flopping about because they simply didn't know.

Plenty of people will have seen Short coming in for meetings, but that is alongside quite a few others. Remember McCabe has already said our scouting wasn't what they'd want, and after MA departure we need a new coaching staff.

I would think quite a few people with lower league experience have been in Sheffield for talks, it doesn't mean they are up for the Managers job.

I think McCabe is short up top if this proves true

Let the bad times roll

It wouldn't surprise me, but only if others turn it down before he does, and can see Di Matteo and Robins being offered the position before he's even considered.

It would also surprise me as he's only had one job in England at Notts County, and it didn't go very well. So not exactly the experienced hand McCabe is looking for.

I presume that whoever gets offered the job will be offered a 4 month contract and it'll be advertised I the star as 'temporary' no previous experience necessary.

I'm in agreeance with bob here everything is just hear say. I think it will be played pretty close to the boards chest. The ITK's unless actual board members won't know anything to do with wage demands, criteria around the next season budgets structure and so forth, unless one of the parties comes out and distances themselves from either club or the name of a candidate if its the club.

I reckon signing Craig Short would just about finish half the fanbase off

At the same time, it would for once and for all, prove beyond a shadow of doubt, how out of touch with the clubs fans Kevin McCabe really is.

He needs to stop, look and listen for a change.

Get this right and the whole mood of the club will change. A club that will unite and be galvanised.

Get it wrong and we may as well all just f'k off and chuck the towell in

Don't for f'ks sake screw your last chance to turn the club around Kev. Manager choice is key!

A directionless League One club with a below-par playing staff that's trying to recover from spending money it didn't really have? Definitely not.

Agree, didn't he get the sack or walk and was replaced by Ince? Who then again walked or was sacked and was replaced by Martin Allen. Hang on a minute there's a name who might suit us? Did well to keep Notts county up and inspired Barnet's come back. At least he would probably keep us up :D
