God's country ...... Rovrum!
..............................that we are nowhere near good enough to compete in this division as things stand

We are definately relegation material and unless we get a change of impetus, one or two new faces of the required standard and a manager who knows what he's doing, I see our championship status ending in May

Meanwhile, back at HQ, we have a CEO and owner (and possibly new chairman) who maintains we are a financially sound club and yet daudles over the extra amount it would cost the club to bring in a championship manager over the other short listed candidates, that are league one, two and unemployed!

We are a financially sound club who the owner said wouldn't let the scenario of having too few permanent contracted players of last season repeat itself this season. (3 x loaned cb's, 1 x loaned rb and 1 x 12 month contracted lb = poor defence)

We have a financially sound football club that at the moment, is spineless, rudderless and with a football team that is fast becoming useless!

FFS, the board of SUFC, get your act together and if as you say we are financially sound, then please NOW show us some sign of how sound we are, by making some decisions that will will see us moving forward rather than backwards at such an alarming rate that it becomes frightening.

One thing is certain, if you don't address this slide now, the club will lose way more than the amount you are looking to save, by making the wrong appointment with YOUR manager choice and not bringing in some quality to improve results. The buck stops with you guys!

KM, you admit to making mistakes. Fine, we all have. However, a good chairman, a good business man, or indeed anyone who earns their salt, doesn't make the same mistake twice. Your manager choices have been poor to say the least. Make sure you get this right, for your sake as well as ours!

Half a season to get the 30 points or so required to stop up! Can we do it? Well you better hope so board, because if we don't, you will certainly know about it next season!

Did you go today?

No Bob

I make my deduction on the 6 home defeats at fortress BL and some of the less than acceptable performances when we haven't lost

I also based it it on the amount of penalties we have conceded and continue to concede.

We make our own luck and I refuse to blame the ref everytime we concede a penalty, coming to the conclusion that the defence is short of the required standard to maintain championship football. The quality of our defence isn't there and I certainly add to that by saying the fact that most of them are loans doesn't help our cause either.

I just don't understand the concept of signing more players and cutting our wage bill. We can't afford to sign new players on big wages because of the wages already been taken by the first team squad. That's not McCabes remit it was the managers, unless you are saying the chairman should have refused the money for Nos, Morgan, Monty because the fans would have gone mad if he had.
The one thing McCabe should have done is let Blackwell go after the playoff final but it isn't up to him to tell his manager player A isn't worth that much etc.

Can you say that we have been played off the park by anyone other than QPR (in the first half?). We are a mediocre team in a mediocre division. Any of the teams in the bottom half could finish in the bottom three and I bet that there is at least one team from the bottom half that will finish in the play offs.

There are too many moaning blades who are only happy when they talk about relegation.

I agree that we don't have the strength in squad that we used to, but I also think there are worse teams in the league and that we will finish in a position of safety.

Agreed. This division is so even that a small improvement in form is all we need. We're poor, I still think we've got just enough.

Most games, trying to look at it impartially, have been scrappy, non entertaining affairs. You are correct that not many teams have played us off the park, but by the same token, we ourselves haven't exactly played anyone off the park at home either.

However, the football has been poor. It's been scrappy and a number of games have looked like we wouldn't score if we played all night

Add to that our home results and that equals a side that's only going one way. I hope the team go on to prove me wrong, but unless there's a dramatic change, in a number of ways, I see us being relegated.

Finally, the last thing I want to be talking about is relegation and believe me, nothing would give me greater pleasure than discussing promotion, but anyone watching partial or impartial, can see we are a poor side. (particularly defencively) A poor side that has it's moments, but nevertheless................

Bob,

The manager signs the players not KM. However, it's KM that made the decision to weaken the squad in the first place to such an extent that this is where we find ourselves.

Why make the statement at the Blades forum regards not repeating the mistake of the loan situation of last season and then proceed to employ a back 4 of loans yet again?

The defence is definately the weak link, although I would argue that if Reid goes next week, the goals will begin to dry up once again and we are faced with another problem (again)

I accept we have no money. I am praying that KM finds it within himself, having witnessed the state we find ourselves in, to sanction a couple of decent signings, on top of getting the right man in to manage the club, whether manager 'A' costs more than manager 'B' to bring in or not!

the chairman should have refused the money for Nos.... because the fans would have gone mad if he had.

I wouldn't have been mad at all and i dont think many others would have been either, as we saw what notworthy was like last season during his loan spell......and its just more of the same this season with him.

I agree with you there - he should have accepted his resignation there and then.

Dear Jesus,

God bless Mummy, God bless Daddy.God bless the little children and God bless the fact that, of our six home defeats so far, we've only been hammered in one of them.

But he hasn't. His first was losing Warnock, his second was Robson, his third not accepting Blackwell's resignation, his fourth was appointing Speed. And that's without lying about Beattie etc. The list goes on.
