Yes him. We never replaced him and so lacked any creativity.

As has been said before, this squad is far superior to the premier league squad, and given that there are now 5 subs in the championship that squad is going to get utilised weekly, I remember in the post covid games 5 subs came in and we simply couldn't compete with all the other teams and we regularly put youth players on the bench and some weeks we didn't have enough players to fill the bench at all, now we can bring 5 genuine game changers on, and we can rotate the starting lineup without any drop off in quality. Yesterday we subbed £60+ million pounds of talent and replaced them with £60 millions worth of talent, that must be terrifying for opponents.

Realistically our starting XI in the Prem was better, but our squad now is probably stronger overall.

Think a lot of people are forgetting how well-gelled that Premier League team was when we got going. We thrashed Chelsea and Spurs with them!

Personally I think he would, it’s the one type of player we lack, who is constantly moving and breaking things up for the opposition, then setting up for the ball players.
