We have not had a goal keeper on the bench for most of this season and tonight we did, perhaps, just perhaps, the bad luck is coming to an end. As the governemnt spoksman said in the Falklands war, 'bad luck does not last forever'.

hmm....was a good result and from what i've heard/seen things are do seem to be getting a bit better

BUT

don't really think one game drastically changes anything, I hope things go well at Hull on Saturday because then we really will have a more solid base to build on

From reading the match reports it didn't sound like a convincing win so I doubt we've turned the corner yet. Any word on Kenny's injury?

Let's hope it's a turning point.

I'd settle for a few lucky/dirty wins at the moment.

Speaking of dirty that sounded exactly how Leicester were playing.

I am not sure myself this is a turning point but if we hammer hull then I may start to change my mind.

not convinced yet but we've conceded 1 goal in 2 games...things must be on the hope

role on hull lets get a win there and are season started albeit about 13 games to late

I agree with Robbo, it was a very professional performance imo.

Whilst we didn't steamroller them, you could see the players conciously trying to keep possession and slowly and patiently building up play. I thought (barring the odd error) that the defence once again looked solid and we lost (and i'm sorry to say it) the only real weak link to injury. I was a little disapointed in the otherwise excellent Cahill for letting the original ball bounce, but I could see what he was attempting to do. He then took responsibility and cleared the ball whilst Paddy toyed with what do to, before injuring himself on Cahill.

Leicester weren't overly dirty, but weren't great. I thought they were the first team this season to look scared of us.

I don't think we ever looked for one minute like conceeding and neither Paddy or Benno had much to do.

I'm not sure what Paddy was trying to achieve when he injured himself. Perhaps he was trying to make amends for the ball he SHOULD have claimed a few mins earlier.

He wasn't sure either, thankfully Cahill took responsibility and got rid.

I'm so glad I've seen this about Kenny, he deserved to get injured for his idiocy really. There was one about 10 minutes earlier that was around the penalty spot that he didn't come for, then he came for the one outside the box!

Hopefully Bennett will prove a point and keep his place.

I thought we did well last night, and showed a bit of fight and determination to win, I won't get carried away with one win but I just hope we can turn this into a run. We've got 2 big confidence boosts from last night... the win, and a clean sheet.

I agree mate. We need a good result saturday now to try and get some momentum going.

Not 100% convinced this is the turning point yet, anyone can go and win away and still be a piss-poor team (just look at Wendy going and beating stoke at their place), but i am convinced that we now have a solid back four who know what their roles are and are looking less and less prone to making the stupid erros that have cost us so far this season. The players are gaining confidence in each other and a win against Hell on saturday will surely prove that we are still a force to be reckoned with. We also can't forget that we've been playing shocking yet we are stil only 7 points off automatic promotion places which is a relatively easy gap to close when you think about it, especially with three quarters of the season still to go.
