The other day I was watching a video on YouTube about Brian Clough and Peter Taylor, they came together at hartlepool and had success their next managerial appointment was at Derby County, who had up to that point been hovering around mid table for over a decade, when they took over they signed players who either where older or lower league players who they knew or players that their careers had stalled and were falling down the football ladder, history shows that the combination of clough and Taylor made these players become better and play as a team and for the team, they played attacking football and Derby achieved success more than they had for generations, unfortunately clough and Taylor felt they had to resign due to conflicts with the owner, after the debacle which was Leeds United they went to forest who were in a similar situation to derby and achieved even more success, after a disagreement clough and Taylor split and neither had remotely the Same success again.
As I was watching I felt myself comparing clough and Taylor to wilder and knill so much so I dropped off to sleep after Sheffield United had won the premier and champions league.
Although its still the early stages of wider and knill managerial careers does anyone else see the comparison
