So after today's 3 points against apparently one of the favourites for promotion. Should we consider ourselves as a promotion contender?

Until it isn't it is, but we've a long way to go.

They know we think they can do it, deep down I think they know they can do it, we just need to keep behind them, weather a few inevitable storms, and see what happens.

No, not at this stage. Take it game by game. First, we need to ensure we stay-up, then take it from there. Far too early to be talking about promotion.

Yes without a doubt.

We are nearly ten games in and are more than holding our own.

We should have one extra point on the board than we do after that ridiculous decision at Boro, and if we'd had just one fit striker last weekend we get something from that game too which would have us either level, or clear at the top.

It's no fluke, and if we fall away in the next few months it's no disaster, but we should definitely be looking up. This league is a very good league, we just happen to be a very good team in this league.

After that I don't think they'll get auto, we might though

Yes. It's possible. Not probable, but highly possible. We'll be in the top 10 all season.

Wolves up next. Need to win that one with a difficult trip to forest coming up

That pig team got to the play off finals two years running...just sayin' like...

If we are I'd rather we didn't say too much about it
If were not we can continue to have fun

If we are in with a shout in February I suppose the fun might stop and the serious business will take over.

But there's no point in getting serious about it just yet

Of course it is, both mathematically and figuratively. People say that injuries and suspensions may catch up with us at some point however, we've got Lavery, Sharp, Donaldson, Hanson, Moore, Evans at only 50% and we still managed to score 4 against a team that are usually around the top 6 come May. Fleck is now on 4 yellow cards so close to a game suspension but we have the strength-in-depth to cover when we need with the likes of Lundstram, Duffy, Carruthers and Basham who can all step in. Do I think we'll end up in the top 2, no. Top 6? I think we'll surprise a few and it'll go to the last few games. Smashing the pigs at Wembley would be perfection

To soon to start thinking about that.

But after being told how "tough it is in this division" and how "its much harder than 6 years ago" and "we're in for a shock".

We are conclusively proving despite a small budget - that we have manager who's tactically astute enough to get the best out of us, and that passion and that attitude and having a philosophy for how we want to play will take us along way.

As other have noted this was far from a full strength squad with key players not fit to start (Stearman / Moore / Sharp / Lavery / Freeman / Evans.)

We've got money left over to spend in January too if we need - its been a brilliant start to the season

It’s like de-ja vue.

As we started moving up the league 1 table ours fans asked the same question.
Let’s be honest, one of our biggest strengths is consistency
And they do say consist4ncy is the key to getting promoted out of this division.

Let's keep it calm and not start strutting about. Of course - as long as we are in the promotion positions or thereabouts - promotion is possible, but we don't want to come across all billy big bollocks in case it takes a bit of a dive later in the season. After all, we've just seen one set of supporters made to look like utter twats for thinking they were far better than they are.
Wilder's done a great job and even if we finish mid table that will be a fantastic result.
