Is our transfer inactivity beginning to worry anyone?

It is me, a little. Not that the club are at fault, in anyway.

We seemingly set our stall out fairly early doors: Swift, Robinson, Cash - promising youngsters who can grow with us, grow in value and eventually become staples of our side. The right price, sizeable investment for our club, but still manageable financially.

Now, Robinson has gone elsewhere and Cash and Swift seem to have stalled. What worries me most is that we have never been a more enticing proposition to new players than we are now. Strong squad, media darlings, finished 9th, attractive football.

Sign these players now, and we continue to press on and improve. Fail to do so, or to sign improvements and we risk standing still or faltering. Any momentum last season bought us in the transfer market will be lost and we'll be at risk of being just as exciting an option for future signings as Burnley are...

Also it's outward inactivity, and those are just a few from what is probably a list the staff have drawn up of tens of players we could get.

We can't brute force transfers, doesn't mean we're not going to get them done eventually.

Yes but we could do with some aclimatisation and integration into the club and squad before the season kicks off

Nope,
Not worried in the slightest

Glad you aren't negotiating on our behalf. The agents would smell you before they even saw the brown stains in your pants!

Over the past 4 and a bit years we've improved window after window. Now's not the time to show yer yella! Tufty only wants players who want to play for the Blades, those purely after the money can fuck off down to SW6.

I'm on board with this but then again I was also quite aware that our squad had thinned out with players returning to host clubs after lockdown, 'you're worrying over nothing', I was told 'we never get injuries', I was told. And you know what they were right, we never got a single injury to the end of the season. Meanwhile sit back Kozzy_is_my_Dad and enjoy all the hilarious ways people can say 'no'.

No, because we didn't need a lot anyway, and the main position to sort (GK) was done relatively quickly. We can take our time with the rest, and it's a slow market in any case.

Nope.
Wilder will do business, one way or another, when possible.
We're already/still better than a good chunk of teams in the league.
We can do even better than last season without fancy signings.
We aren't in Europe, whereas 7 teams that are play near enough twice a week for half the season.

Well, this started well 😂

Perhaps a better question should be something along the lines of 'are you concerned or more the point frustrated with our initial transfer activity?"

I know I am, Cash, Robinson and Swift are perfect for what we're trying to build here, so to have those deals stall (or to see Fulham being financially OTT again) is frustrating. At a time when our standing and clout is at an all time high, to try and get these over the line. Again, no fault on the club's part.

Errr, no...sorry

I have to say I'm not worried CW has strengthened in right position up to now GK, he knows what he's doing the window doesn't close till Oct 5th I trust in our CW and club to do what's needed.

Have faith in CWAK, haven't disappointed up to now. Not worried at all

Transfer windows always amuse me. Rumours, gossip and the famous ITKs all putting out names, definite deals, agent stirring, interest from clubs and assorted other bits of spurious information and mostly disinformation. Almost all of it with nothing concrete coming from the club, yet still the glorious bedwetting when a deal isn't done, or a player goes elsewhere, or a deal seems to get delayed. Amuses me for a few weeks, more so because years of seeing CWAK doing it mostly right gets ignored.

Well said SEB mind you most of players mentioned on here I don't have a clue who they are especially if from foreign clubs.
