Think it’s time for some realism with our fans.

The last 2 weeks we have played 2 genuine promotion contenders and lost both. Both times I have seen there teamsheet and thought wow how can we compete against them.

We are in our first season in the championship and currently missing our 2 best players in Coutts and Brooks. Teams around us are spending so much more than we are. Fulham rejected bids for Sessengon and Cairney both meant to be £40million + for the pair. Financially we are so far away from these teams.

Yet we as fans don’t expect us to compete (we were the better team against Villa) we expect to win no matter who we play against.

We play good football infront of a very poor atmosphere at home. Who constantly shout get it forward get it into box. Wolves didn’t do that today as you can see by there second goal. Also when wolves played it out from the back there fans weren’t moaning about “look at him messing about with it”.

Every game we go into with a formation and tactics that allows us to compete with these teams who have better players than us. This is a credit to CW!

We need to be realistic CW has his hands tied behind his back in this league. The top 7 all have better players and more finances than us. We expect miracles week on week from CW we just need to be realistic about our place and position in this league.

weve had 2 of if not the 2 hardest games of our season
theres 16 games and 48 points available left in much more winnable games left

lets not panic , we only have derby h fulham a v top 6 teams left
we need 11 or 12 wins to make the play offs

we have the quality to do that

losing to a prem side assembled a year early is not the end of our chances

We beat Derby at home ,unless you mean in the play off semi ?

Realism for me means not talking about the play-offs. Realism for me is accepting our performances and results over that last 12 games haven't been good enough . Realism for me means understanding we have new players we need to bed in and adapt our playing style to get the best from them as no one can say what we are currently doing is successful. Realism to me means putting that right and doing the old old thing of taking one game at a time.

Cardiff H
Brizzle A
And Preston H won't be easy

We have Cardiff at home and Fulham and Bristol City away.
Plenty to play for yet. Fulham have to play us, Preston, Villa, Wolves, Derby and Bristol City all inside 21 days starting in a couple of weeks.
There will be an awful lot of twists and turns before the season ends. We just need a bit of form back and the rub of the green and let’s see where it takes us.

So there could be five/six losses that send us into meltdown and still make the playoffs?

Realism is acknowledging that all fans are going to be overly negative after a loss and overly happy after a win. We don't need realism, we just need to make sure that the Lane's hostile for the Leeds game.

The only realism we need is to acknowledge how far we've come under Wilder and, despite minor tactical errors (Bristol at home being the biggie), we're having a tough period in a tough season. But we're in with a shout of the playoffs and it's comfortably in our hands if we can maintain excellent home form throughout the rest of the season.

We've won one home league game in the last three months. What on Earth are you talking about?
so , weve been in a poor run of results ,

lets hope the players dont have your attitude of so lets give up now

trouble with a lot of blades , prepared to accept a bad period will last forever
weve lost games weve been the better side in
last night was one of only 3 this season wev been 2nd best on the park

We'd just about be favourites in 10 of those games. Some very tough games on there

The only realism we need is to acknowledge how far we've come under Wilder

and that's it?

Is Wilder on the Havana's already, sitting in his palace, looking down on us all... ''it's great here folks, look where we were when I took the job... no need for any ambition, let's enjoy this moment as the be all and end all...''

If Wilder and supporters are, then he needs to go and the supporters need a wake up...

when wolves played it out from the back there fans weren’t moaning about “look at him messing about with it”.
Wolves didn’t mess about with it like we do. They continually looked to play forward, they did it with pace, they had players prepared to run with the ball. I know they have spent a lot of money but their style was the complete opposite of the slow, negative approach we have shown for much of the last couple of months.

weve 16 opportunitys to get 3 points left

the reality is thers time to make this season great

hands up all those who think CW has accepted its over

just might have something to do with the money theyve spent, when we can afford 15m and 45 k a week for one player Im pretty certain we will look better
we have never been negative , but mony buys you that bit better quality and theres no substitute for that

I'm not saying impossible, I just can't accept that we're going to win half of our remaining games 'with ease' given our results over the past two months.

I also don't buy into this fallacy that we've been the better side in nearly every game we've lost.

weve several new players trying to fit in
we were without the better side v Villa but got sucker punched
weare playing at least teams no where near our quality
we just need not to get hit by another 5 or 6 goal of the seasons playing them

so norwich were better than us
were villa err no
fulham finished better but we still created more chances
we are dominating games but not converting chances at vital times
bristol city was amazing 4 times we hit the bar, and somehow lost a game we were miles than them in

watched man city murder burnley yesterday but draw 1-1

results sometimes bely what happens on the pitch

Finishing chances is a vital part of the game. Villa did it and we couldn't. Our defender made a hideous error in judgement (none of theirs did) and Snodgrass scored in a manner we're not capable of. Just because we had more of the ball before that doesn't make us better. They had class at one end and decision making at the other that we lacked and therefore they won.

Fulham pulled us apart. Bristol City did a job on us and again won because their finishing was better. Bolton (fucking Bolton!) pissed all over us. Preston and Millwall have outplayed us in recent weeks.

To say we should easily win half of our remaining games with the way things have been going is astounding arrogance.

No, but people are acting as if we should be doing better than we are. We shouldn't. Our back three are not very good. Wilder is doing and has done an excellent job. The idea that we need a dose of realism as if nobody is realistic, is like saying 'we could really do with a win.'

fulham broke exce;llently , but you missed we pulled them apart too , its why they collapsed on the pitch at the end
we havent had many breaks this season

birmingham had one shot at the lane but it was their goal of the seasdn and we drop 2 points through it

we were poor at millwall but all teams have off days
we suffer more from conversion rates of chances not being what they should

So it's the fans fault that we take twenty pass a to get in the final third ?
Maybe the wolves fans weren't moaning because they only took two or three sometimes even one
