I know we’re off the back of a horrible performance so I’m trying to not let emotions cloud any sense of clarity around the situation, but it’s been on my mind for a while.
What is being said to these players to get a performance like that?
Following Arsenal we saw a crestfallen Norwood saying it’s on the players, then we hear about players meetings and we see some fight at Wolves, and at Brighton in patches.
How are they now back to looking like they’ve never played together before?
That first half was like nothing I’ve ever witnessed, so I turned to my dad and said not to worry, they’ll get a rocket and the second half will be better. Cue more of the same.
They played today like it was another game they had no chance in so didn’t turn up. Why? This is the team who were directly above us and within touching distance and we made them look like Barcelona.
Why aren’t they motivated / fighting? It’s all so lethargic and wasteful.
I just don’t get it.
We’re not able to compete in most of the games in this league, so there should be some fight in those that we can get something. We saw it v Everton, but then not Fulham, and some good ish moments against Forest.
If we can’t get some belief or spark back we’ll lose to Burnley and Luton. Both look so much more settled than we do.
